Colour leaching
Bought the clay set June 28, 2023. Worked great, used the bowl every day, multiple times a day. It was washed manually and in the dishwasher. Threw out the bowl a few days ago around December 23, 2023 when I noticed that there was colour transfer on food. I was stirring butter in white rice and noticed that the rice started to look orange in colour. At first I was shocked and assumed that it was the butter. Dumped out what I had in the bowl and put fresh rice in to see if the new rice would have a change in colour. I rubbed the rice on the surface of the bowl and it started to get an orange tinge. I am not impressed. I don't know how long it was contaminating my child's food for. I didn't think to take photos at the time because I was annoyed and just threw the bowl in the garbage. After the fact I thought it would be important to write a review since this product is not safe for people to eat out of.
