High Quality! Built to Last! Looks Very Professional!
I now own two Conrad Gotz chin rests. The first one I purchased, I found the assembly to be a little tricky. You have to screw the barrel fittings onto the threads about half way on one of the mounts, and then start screwing them onto the other mount just a bit. Then fit to your instrument and tighten. It took a bit of fiddling with to figure this out. I had no problems with the second one that I purchased - it went together much more quickly. As for the person who is complaining about the threads locking up, that's totally a user-error issue. The materials used are high quality. Think about the fact that you are screwing together three pieces of metal, and if you don't have the angle squared up on all three pieces, you might mis-align the threads and bung things up. Don't be a Gomer. Take your time and do it right. You won't regret it!

4.5 This was a great standard chin rest. But I had to shave down some of the cork to make it fit my violin.

Perfect for my adult rounded face
I could not get a proper position and hold of the violin with a generic chin rest. I have a rounded face and never could had enough jaw bone to fit well on it. Bought this one, boy what a difference! Holding a violin is not painful anymore. Have a rounded face or fatty cheeks? Try this one :)

Nachdem der seitliche Kinnhalter recht "ungemütlich" war, ist dieser (er wird mittig angebracht) wirklich ganz toll & komfortabel!

I really liked it and it changed the way how I play my instrument. Now it is more comfortable, especially because I play without a shoulder rest. As a tip, you can definitely add a little tool to set it up like other sellers!
