While I like making my own
Yum! I switched a vegan diet earlier this year and needed to replace my chicken/beef stock with vegetable stock. While I like making my own, there are times when it's just not possible and I need something to reach for. I wasn't sure about this particular brand as I have another I'm fond of, but due to the high price of the other, I decided to give this one a whirl. So glad I did!Full-bodied flavor that isn't too salty or onion-overwhelming. I think you know what I mean -- so many vegetable broths just taste like they boiled onions for 10 days and then at the end, tossed in a few other veggies. I appreciate onion here and there but I'm not a fan of the overwhelming onion flavor. Upon first opening this jar, I got a strong whiff of onions and was concerned that this would be one of those. To my great pleasure, nope!I used it to make a killer veggie soup the other day. Super delish! I love that it's not powdered so it's not as messy as others and it stores nicely in the door of the frig for easy availability.I'll definitely be back to buy more once mine gets used up a bit more.

Excellent soup base, but TOO EXPENSIVE.
An excellent, rich soup base with less salt. I'd give it 5 stars, except that the price just recently jumped more than 30%!!!!! I'm thinking twice or three times before using it now, and frankly, I may have to do without it altogether.

Amazing clam flavor!
Key ingredient for amazing chowder, used by Duke's Chowder House in Seattle. And I love that is has more natural ingredients than other clam bases. It's very hard to find at local stores. So, it's very nice that you can get it next day from Amazon.
