High Carbon Steel File Set with Wooden Handles Rasp File for Metal, Wood, Plastic, 5 Pieces

I enjoy learning more about woodworking. These files work very good for my needs. I’ve used them all on various projects and they’re great.

Nice set of 5 files. The wooden handles are just OK. This set is ok for rough work when you don't want to use you best file.

I'm retired and I do a lot of scroll saw, jigsaw and Dremel cutting. I use wood, plastic and metals for my crafts and home repair projects. I've used a lot of sand paper in years past. It wears out too fast, can't get into tight corners or irregular spaces, and of course, can't do a thing for the soft metals I use. I do have a belt sander, but it has limited use with metals, plastic glass and tile. There is nothing like a good set of steel files, and these are definitely a very good set! I have tried a lot of materials with these files today. First I used one to carefully smooth down some rough edges on cut surfaces of glass wine bottles. (I put mini lights in them). The soft metal and plastic Christmas ornaments also had lovely smooth edges when I was finished. Tight spots on wood sanded down nicely. I'm still making trays with pieces of colored ceramic and stone tile like we used to do in the 70's. Anyone remember? All different sizes and shapes of tile needed sanding before gluing into the tray. Such an easy project with these files. I even sharpened my garden tool, and box cutter. These useful files have beautiful wood handles and came in a sturdy storage bag. I even received an extra handle. I'm sure they will be used often in my shop, and will last a very long time.

Fantastic quality and great size. They are a bit smaller than most files so if you have big hands probably not what you want.

Nice files with wood handles. The only issue is that the actual file part of it is not abrasive enough. I've been using it on soft pine and it's slow going. I don't think these will work on hardwood very well at all.

Very nice and simple set. Not as big as some other files in length but in so many ways this is better. Most large (longer) files like this are really over kill and more clumsy to use. I like the simple wood handles and smaller file size, much easier to handle and work on items needing a little file. The full set has all the major files I needed.

This is my first of files and, as far as a first set goes, I love it! They're easy to hold and use, but I will say that one of the files - specifically the flat file - fell apart within literally 30 seconds of me using it. But since it can probably just be fixed with some gorilla glue, I'm fine with it. Overall, 4 stars for 4 excellent files

I'm a crazy handy guy, but this is my first file set bought from AMZ. Honestly, I was attracted by its nice Wooden Handle, but still worried about the quality for its cheap price. Fortunately,the wooden handle file set gave me a big surprise. Nice Ergonomic wooden handle grips comfortable and sturdy. I'm sure your hand will not slip or twist even though it works for a long time. The metal file is well made and stable, I have used these files on sheet metal and wood for 40+ minutes, all works well with no harm on the files, and nice variety of sizes and shapes makes it possiable to be used in many ways. All in all,this file set is an amazing gifts for me, and it should be worth more than $30. Highly recommend.

Adquiridas para usarlas en maquetas navales cumplen su función perfectamente. Tamaño muy adecuado y muy manejables. El mango esta bien fijado a las limas y trae uno de repuesto. No puedo indicar su funcionamiento en trabajos profesionales, pero para trabajos manuales o maquetismo no dudes en comprarlas ya que la relación precio-calidad es buena. Vienen en una funda de plástico, aunque lo importante es el contenido.

Cheap but good files. The size is perfect for lighter jobs. They feel comfortable in the hand

Da die Objekte unterschiedliche Geometrien haben, ist ein Feilen Set aus verschiedenen Feilen für unterschiedliche Stellen gut geeignet. *****Positives***** + gute Verarbeitung + Ersatzgriff + damit lässt sich gut arbeiten *****Negatives***** - bisher nichts *****Fazit***** Für meinen Zweck eignet sich dieses Set hervorragend. Ich bin damit zufrieden.
