I got what I paid for and don't regret it.
Exactly as described and well worth the price. I've tested this against some known elements in my collection and the counter works well. The interface is intuitive and easy to navigate to change various settings and customize the display. I chose this as an economical option that would still allow me to have audible and visual queues. The ability to view the data (including as a graph) and export it is appreciated, as is having a quick tool for the standard conversions and equivalent metrics of Sieverts, Rads, CPM and dose etc. Would also note the battery came charged and has held up well for hours now. I look forward to taking this on my upcoming trips to the odd mineral shop or planned conventions. Don't look at other cheaper options on Amazon from xyz brands and vendors... This product has the quality you are really looking for.

Seems to be an excellent radiation detector.
I've worked in a facility that handles waste products that all have some level of radioactive contamination, so I am well familiar with Geiger counters. It appears to work well with a degree of accuracy. The manual is easy to understand and the functionality of the instrument and basic setup was straightforward. I like the fact that it has a built-in rechargeable battery, and a full charge will give several hours of operation. Hopefully, I will never absolutely need to use it, but in these times it was quite inexpensive and offers much mental comfort.

Definitely works!
Granted its not easy to put CPMs into sieverts, but its a great tool. Video is just some simple uranium glass plates, I guess we could say a positive control.

I like it
Worked good . Kind of slow but so far I’m happy with its performance

It does the job and fun to have
I collect various rocks as a hobby. I once took this to the abandoned uranium mine and it promptly alerted me with a radiation level much higher than what is considered to be safe and typical background level. I also did a nuclear bone scan at a hospital and I just took this with me just to see what happens. This device alerted me with a rapid burst of static sound to warn me of the presence of radiation, especially on my arm after the technetium-99m isotope was injected into a vein. Bone scan is a relatively low radiation procedure and the half life of this isotope is very short (6 hours).

👍 Inexpensive Digital Nuclear Radiation Detector
I purchased this to confirm my radiation exposure from a family member receiving a radiological treatment. It definitely detects radiation danger. It’s inexpensive, easy to setup, and read. I basically use it confirm there are no household items or surfaces (especially in the bathrooms) that are contaminated with unacceptable radioactive exposure.

5 star product all around
I suggest any item this company sells. I really like the GQ GMC-300S i bought. I did notice its like 1/2 the price now from when i bought it. lol so buy it up. But i have had it a year ish and have used it many times and i have left it on to mess with people too. The old fashioned clicking sound. Normal background will move a notch or two and when it does it is a click like a old school Geiger counter. People will often be like what is that noise but my point is, i still have not had to charge the battery. I just did for the 1st time but it was no where near low. I have left it on many times too and it shuts off but not for a while. Its a bit old fashioned looking but it is also a high quality tool and i really like the nostalgic look. Does not functions like a nostalgic counter but like a nice modern one!! 5 star product at a affordable price.

Works great
I got this to monitor the radiation during and after my RAI therapy. For the most part, it seems accurate. The first 24 hrs of my RAI, the radiation from my neck area was off the charts. It was interesting to see but also scary. I used it as a way to determine the distance to keep myself far enough during isolation. As the radiation decays, the distance you radiate becomes less too. I also used it to monitor the radiation from my pillow. I have a favorite pillow and the neck area was still high in radiation. It took about a month and a half for the radiation to come back down to normal levels. Even the pillow cover was still high in radiation too. Having this tool really helped ease my worries about radiation and affecting those around me. It was well worth it. Hopefully I don't have to go thru that again. For those that do go thru something like RAI, this tool is helpful and I wish you a speedy recovery.

Essential Tool for Radium Detection!
The GQ GMC-300S Digital Nuclear Radiation Detector Monitor Meter Geiger Counter has proven to be an invaluable tool in my watch servicing hobby. I use it specifically for checking if watch dials contain radium, and it performs this task with remarkable accuracy. The digital display is easy to read, and the device is user-friendly, making it simple to operate even for those new to radiation detection. Its sensitivity and reliability provide peace of mind when working with vintage watches. This Geiger counter is a must-have for anyone needing precise radium detection at a great value.
