After our Dyson sat in a Las Vegas NV storage unit for a year, the battery was shot. This battery is the BOMB! Has considerably more milliampere hours than the original & literally pulls up our rugs it’s so strong! The original battery pales by comparison. Now, the normal setting on the vacuum is like the turbo setting on the original battery!! So easy to replace with a small Phillips screwdriver of 3 screws. Go easy on tightening them back in! (Only use 1/8 past snug) I broke one of them inside the vacuum housing. My bad.

We were so excited to get this replacement battery for our Dyson V8. It was much more powerful and lasted almost double time between charges. A little over 7 months of use and it just stopped working. I have placed the old battery back in (which works fine but doesn’t last long).I am told that this company has been fair with customers and are replacing the battery. After our original battery died, and Dyson did not have the battery in stock, we tried several different replacements. Seven months after purchase this battery is still working great, maybe even more powerful than the original. It certainly seems to hold a charge longer. The primary issue with the other replacements was the size; they were too big to slide into the charger easily. This one is not perfect, but it is so close to the original that we don't really notice the slight effort to remove it from the charger. All in all a very good replacement.

When it worked it worked great. Much better suction than original battery that came with the vacuum. Unfortunately it stopped holding a charge completely after 6 months.Update: manufacture recognized my issue and provides a refund. Review was updated to reflect the customer service provided.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Headline speaks for itself. Battery lasted 4-5 months before not accepting a charge anymore. Worked great while it lasted, but didn't last long.UPDATE: Because the seller kindly issued me a full refund, I am updating my review. Customer service is exemplary, but that doesn't change the fact that the product was subpar to begin with, so I changed my overall rating from one star to four stars.

I used it several times a week for 6 weeks, then all of a sudden it stopped charging. It was advertised as having a year warranty, but there is no contact information for the company. I called Amazon, and they would not refund my money without charging a restocking fee. Amazon gave me was a website address for Formika since the product is supposedly under warranty, which I messaged. But no response.

My dyson Animal V8 stopped getting a charge, a single red light when I plugged it in, and done. I hunted and found this was the likely reason. I ordered, and received the next day (thank you Amazon, I have a Bernese and a Samoyed/Great Pyr mix, so we drown in dog hair). There were no instructions, but a small philips head screwdriver was all I needed to figure it out, and get it back together. I am sure there were Youtube Videos, but it is literally 3 screws... So nice to have my Dyson back, I was fearing having to buy a new one.

This battery doubled the power and life of my vacuum. Very pleased!
