Height of the Garden: 800 ft to 3200 ft Type: Black Tea Flush: First Flush Tea Cultivar: Pure AV2 Year: 2017 Grade: Moonshine Date of picking/Manufacture: 25th March 2017 Description: Dry Leaves: The leaves of this premium first flush tea belongs to pure AV2 cultivar of the garden which produces it famed teas by the name Moonshine. The fine count is excellent with the tea being made from only the two leaf and a bud. The leaves are delicately entwined and rolled into thin wiry made tea after a careful withering. The aromatic leaves lend prominent greenish-ness along with the presence of silvery tips in plenty. The leaves exudes a pleasant aroma associated with fresh tea, floral character typical to than of AV2 teas, no astringent taste, has pleasant floral sweetness to it. Liquor: The fresh liquor is delicious and has this invitingly bright golden yellow in color with a smooth delicate taste. Astringent taste is absent. The sweet floral notes are prominent when sipped, the tea flavor is felt briefly followed by floral feel-good after-taste felt all over. When sipped cold, the typical AV2 floral character is distinct and no astringency is noted. The tea in it self is delicate with smoothness. Brewing Instructions: For a cup (200ml) a tea spoonful (2.5gm) is advised. Cool the already boiled water to around 90ºC . Steep for about 5 to 6 minutes with the lid covered over the steeping vessel. Strain and serve hot.
