Seems like a really good quality pure product that helped to improve my sleep quality I didn't notice any energy changes from this supplement but I do forget help as a sleeping aid so it seems quite effective therefore for this price I would say they are good value for money

This glycine is white and granular and similar looking to white sugar. It also tastes slightly sweet, making it easy to consume by mixing into a drink or sprinkling onto a dessert. There is no dosage spoon included in the pack. However, the packet's recommended dose suggests taking 0.7-2 grams on an empty stomach 1-2 times a day. Where 1 level teaspoon = 2 grams of glycine. The seal on the bag is functional but not the best, so I'd suggest transferring to a labelled container to ensure that the contents stay sealed and dry. The 1 Kg bag I purchased had a long best before day of well over 2 years! I use a level teaspoon of glycine mixed in a protein shake as part of a recovery drink for the 5 days a week that I am working and walking just over 10 miles in a day. Based on the recommended dosage, this 1Kg bag should last around a year, making it excellent value. Research on taking glycine suggests amongst many things that the body uses it to heal cartilage and keep joints healthy as well as improving muscle function and reducing recovery time. Having suffered a torn medial meniscus on both knees at different times in the past led me to seek out what I could do to maintain and preserve what I have. Supplementing my diet with glycine seems theoretically to be a logical choice. Taking glycine also has a relaxing and calming effect, so occasionally I'll take a level teaspoon mixed in a drink or yoghurt at night before bed. The above are my main reasons for taking glycine but medical research also indicates that potentially there are many other benefits including heart and liver health, improves mitochondrial health as well as aiding the production of glutathione which is a major antioxidant.

Mixes easily, no real taste. I take at night to help with sleep.

Happy with the powder, but not the description. Glycine is the simplest amino acid and is non chiral ie there is only 1 version of the molecule (chiral means handedness, look at your hands, they are mirror images of each other and molecules can be that way too, but not glycine)

Bought this because I read it has promise as a low glycaemic sweetener. It does. But only in certain use cases. It’s not a rare sugar or sugar alcohol. It’s an amino acid: so, yes, it’s quite sweet; but it tastes kind of like you blended table sugar and MSG if you eat it straight. Best for stuff where you’re expecting sweet-and-savoury blending. But, honestly, I’d still pick it over erythritol any day of the week. Still experimenting, and may well buy again in my quest for non-polyol/non-gut-issue bulk sweeteners.
