This mat does exactly what it’s supposed to! Only downside may be the tamping of a portafilter- since the surface is nubby, when you try to ramp freshly ground beans, it is difficult to keel portafilter flat on its surface. With some practice, you will be okay.

Use this Mat at the base of my Espresso machine. It catches any loose grinds or liquid and is easy to clean.

I would say the quality is really good, it's thick and well produced and I like it a lot.

Use this under an appliance in the motor home on travel days. Keeps the coffee maker in place and traps liquids when in use at the camp ground .
