For Corn Snake & Smaller Snake Species
This is a very secure snake enclosure for Corn Snakes and smaller snake species. It was packed securely to ensure the glass panels do not break with careful handling. Three glass panels are black for privacy and gives your pet a sense of security. The sliding door is backed by a thin panel of glass (they give you two, one shallow, the other taller), so you choose which one, depending on how deep your substrate will be. While the assembly manual is sufficient, there are videos online that help to explain how to put this terrarium together. If the side panels don't fit (too tight), turn it sideways and it will slide in without resistance. The screen top is very secure, imho, just make sure the plastic latches are not damaged. There is no way an adult snake can escape, unless you put this tank together wrong. Make sure there is no sideways play on the sliding doors, or your snake will find it and sneak out. The lock is crucial for keeping the sliding doors secure. I think this tank is a great value. It can be disassembled and transported, unlike the solid glass tanks of the old days. Make sure you have a stand that is designed to carry the weight of this very heavy tank enclosure.

Great tank. Not easy to assemble, but we like it.
I'm glad my husband was around to help me with this. Like some other reviewers said, directions are very vague, but the video helped. I am very happy with it so far. I want to comment that the way they packed it for transporting is amazing. Everything was protected really well. As for the tank itself, I love the fact that it opens in the front. Makes it easy to do everything that needs to be done without having to always go through the top. I don't have to move lights to get in anymore. It's nice looking, too. I'm not sure about the black glass in the back and on the sides. I'm trying it for awhile to see how Zippy likes it. Overall, I think it's a great tank for the money.

Snake escaped because of terrible quality of materials
Glass leaves a huge gap in the doors because there is only one track for the panels to go through in the top, and the middle of the tank is slightly bowed up. There is about 2-3 mm of space there where the glass goes, meaning that if I move the glass to the middle, I CAN PULL THE GLASS PANELS OUT. My snake has escaped from this tank because of this massive flaw. The lock does not hold the glass pieces together, it just stops someone from sliding the outermost piece to open the tank. I bought this because an acquaintance with another snake has the same tank from a couple years ago, but the glass pieces are at least a full centimeter longer than the ones with my tank. It seems that to save on cost of materials, the producers of this tank have started cutting the glass into shorter panels. I now have to tape the glass together TO THE TANK to keep my snake from escaping again. Also, while building the tank, the styrofoam left shiny microscopic fibers all over everything that I had to wipe off. There was an extra piece of glass that I can only assume is if you want to make the entrance a narrower gap, but was not listed in the instructions anywhere. My chest hurt after building it because of the fibers, so hopefully I don't get a horrible cancer later on in life! And hopefully my snake doesn't either! Don't spend your money on this. Get a tank from a reputable seller like ZooMed or Exo Terra.

Sturdy tank / good delivery
Wanted to say Amazon was incredible on the delivery. I thought there was not much chance it could arrive without one broke or chipped piece of glass but it came perfect. As far as product quality, it seems solid. Looking forward to getting my 6ft boa in it tomorrow.

Great terrarium
We bought this terrarium for our sons snake we got him for Christmas. We had to add HVAC tape to the mesh lid to hold in the humidity. Once we did that, everything has been perfect. Flash forward to now, I decided to buy another for my own BP. Unfortunately, one of the locking clips on the mesh lid was broken from the box and a piece of glass was also broken. The glass was not a piece we needed so it wasn't that big of a deal. I was pretty upset about the lid though because when I went to inquire about a replacement, I learned I would have to return the entire enclosure just to get a lid replaced and that was terribly inconvenient, not to mention this item is incredibly heavy and there would be no guarantee that the new one would not also be broken and even worse. Now I have to try to locate a replacement lid on my own that will probably cost another $100+. Other than this issue, the terrarium itself has been great for both our bp's.

Lid is warped
I have used several of the Reptizoo knockdown glass line of tanks in various sizes and generally really like them. They come packaged really well (I've never encountered broken glass), they're easy to assemble, they're sturdy, and they have nice quality lids that stand up to my cats inevitably sitting on top of them. I have learned that my snakes (2 corns, an MBK, and a BP) can slide the doors open, so I had to add childproof cabinet locks to them to prevent escapes, but in every other way, these tanks have served us well. This is my first time buying this large of a size, and I got two along with the separate stacking poles so my bearded dragon and ball python can be neighbors. The stacking poles worked well and it seems like a very sturdy setup even with the tanks being this large. The tinted glass looks really sleek and will save my beardie especially from extra stress by limiting her view out of 3 sides of the tank. I appreciate the slightly smaller size compared to the standard 4x2x2 because it is a better fit for my space while still being a significant upgrade for my pets. However, a major problem is that the lids for both tanks are bowed outward in the center. It isn't very visible to the eye, but it makes it so the sliding doors aren't held in the tracks and fall out easily. I haven't encountered this problem with the smaller tanks in the line, but I'm guessing these being so wide makes them more vulnerable to warping. I remedied the problem by putting free weights on top, so the doors no longer fall out, and I hope over time the bow will flatten out.
