By far the best quality butyl sealant I have used in sealing headlights. Package outstanding, not stuck to packaging as many others, reducing waste.

This is the best.. door trims rattle in your car not when this is used.. used this on trim panels to take vibration out, easy to use pull a bit off roll it in hands apply where needed, sticks well and dampen sound rattles etc. used on speaker mounts to take up air gaps, seals up holes effectively big small, cracks gaps sealed thin thick you name it, perfect for multitude of jobs

I have always used sponge tape for hob installs, and every time, all they did was soak up oil and grease and proved impossible to clean, which is why I looked at Butyl tape after using it on other applications. Easy to apply, moulds well and once in place, let's just say it is not coming off again easily, and it is impervious to oil, grease and water, so no more of that nasty weeping line around the edge of the hob.

I remember buying butyl tape as a flat sort of pack with two sides, layers of plastic on either side and that stuff was gray and extremely sticky. So I couldn't find that so I ordered this because it seems to be the same name stuff and I guess they no longer sell it. on this item, it's not as sticky as the stuff I was talking about, which I couldn't find anymore. This is certainly much less adhesive. Having said that, it still does sort of stick to things fairly well. I'd give it a 4 out of 10 for stickiness. It can certainly be placed on objects, plastic wood, etc. But before it really had a lot of adhesion to the point where I even used quite a lot of it to hold a reflex punching bag, I certainly think this stuff would fare a lot worse, I don't think I'd even bother using it for something, uh, load bearing, to be honest. I don't have butyl tape, but I don't think this is the same stuff that they use on that aluminium butyl tape, so this is nowhere near that level of adhesion, however, this stuff, you know, you do get quite a lot of it and it did the job I needed, so I can't exactly knock it. It doesn't seem to adhere to itself, which my previous butyl sealant, did was extremely sticky, even versus itself. So depending on your use case, this stuff might be fine. It was for me.

Yes very good stuff i have used it to reseal my Fiat Ducato front scuttle at the base of the window screen. A must on all Ducatos because the water gets in and destroys and corrosion starts on yiur engine and injectors. Look on YouTube for Fiat Ducato front screen scuttle problems and use this to solve the warter ingress

A lot of people won’t be aware of what this tape does. It used to be known as ‘dum dum’, and used a lot in the motor trade. Can be used as a seal, or in my case, a drain pipe that kept dropping. A little ball of it, flattened, and put inside the bracket. A stickier version of blue tack, and more ‘industrial’, how I would describe it.

Used to replace headlight lens. Prompt delivery. Worked a treat.
