I ordered this AFTER having bought a fully handle kit replacement on a certain eCommerce bay and having spent over an hour working to get the door panel removed on my 2014 BMW X3 F25, only to discover that the geniuses at BMW melted plastic over one of the screws needed to remove the driver-side handle.Being unwilling to drill through that plastic (because I'm sure I would have botched it), I decided to buy this snap-in replacement instead, and I have to say, it fits like a glove and took me all of about 5 minutes to install, which includes opening the package, slipping on my Papa Bear slippers, and shuffling to the car. It was really that simple.One thing I did do, and no idea if this will help or hurt in the long run, but because the previous plastic door handle was deteriorating due to the previous owner using the wrong cleaner, I took a hobby knife and cleaned off the old, melted plastic goop and then hit it with goo gone cleaner. I guess I could have used a 3M command strip or two or something to take the place of that plastic, but after installing this piece, I don't think it's necessary.This product feels silky smooth, but not the kind of soft touch finish that will itself eventually deteriorate. I gave it 5 stars for ease of installation, 3 stars for value (because I paid almost the same price for a full kit on that eCommerce bay site, but then again that was before inflation hit hard), and 4 stars for durability, because while I'm sure it will hold up a long time, I would have liked to see some kind of double-sided adhesive padding included to shore up any gaps.TL;DR if you need to replace the driver side door handle on your BMW, and this one fits your model, it's a no-brainer.

This is just what I was looking for. The driver's side armrest handle was starting to disintegrate from exposure to the Florida heat and sun. This handle cover for my X3 fits perfectly. Easy to install and looks like it is original to the vehicle. Saved hundreds of dollars from what the dealership wanted for the repair. Very happy with my purchase.

Replaced my passenger front door handle on my 2013 BMW X3. Nice finish, easy to replace IF watch a YouTube video how to replace it. Otherwise you will find difficult to find the right screws. Don't hurry and be gentle.

Once installed, it fits fine and matches the door color. However, the installation is fairly difficult and full of steps to make mistakes that could be critical. More of the fault with how BMW assembles the door, then the fault of this product. I consider myself a better than average handy-man, and I have a good variety of tools in my garage. BMW uses plastic rivets inside the door that have to be drilled out, which you hopefully don’t do incorrectly. No useful instructions are provided. The “How to” videos available In Amazon show the basics, but seem to skip through some crucial points. I probably would not try to install this again, as I think I barely got through it without damaging something. Again, I don’t think that this product was the issue, but better instructions would be good. It certainly fixed our problem with the disintegrating silicon cover on the OEM handle, without the $300 bill quoted by BMW. The installation is just not for the faint of heart.

Looks so beautiful, much better than original. Very easy to insert, fits on top of the existing handle. Very smart design idea and awesome quality material.Price is a bit higher though.

The part goes over the top of the old rubber, just take out the back section (open window to go in from behind the door and slide up). Looks nice and cheaper than getting it replaced through bmw.
