Bright, well designed, and it has good motion detection
I bought this as a solution for an area (the stairs) of our house where my wife goes up and down several times a day, working from home in her upstairs office. We have no lighting and no electrical outlets available in the stairs, so it's unsafe for her to make her way up and down those stairs for the first few hours each morning (she normally starts work just before 7:00AM), so I at first had her use a small flashlight to carry with her for that.I must confess that I was rather mad at myself for not thinking sooner of a rechargeable light that can be attached to the wall with a magnetic strip when I stumbled upon this device. What you get in the box are ten items: 1) two rechargeable light units, 2) two magnetic strips, 3) four double-sided adhesive strips, 4) USB-C charging cable, 5) printed instruction sheetThe first thing to do with this is (of course) to plug the cable into a USB port or USB charging power supply, then into whichever light unit you intend to install. The LED charging indicator on the light unit will be red until fully charged, then the LED will switch to green. You wil next need to put two of the double-sided adhesive strips on one side of the metal mounting strip, but first be sure to peal off the clear plastic protective cover on the side you intend to attach the adhesive strip to.This is the one small reason why I didn't give this five stars, because I found it very difficult to pull the backing tape off of the other side of the adhesive strips, so much so that it took me nearly five minutes with each of the two strips getting that off so that I could put the metal strip on the wall in the stairs. With that said, once I was able to get that backing tape, the strip attached very securely on the wall. The light unit then stays firmly on the metal strip thanks to the strong magnetics on the back the light unit.Once it was attached, I was pleased to say that the motion detector that automatically activates the light is sensitive enough to come on as soon as anyone comes within about ten feet, then it stays on for roughly ten seconds after the person going by is beyond its motion detector, a good compromise for the shutoff delay.Another nice design feature of this light is that it will not activate with enough daylight for anyone to not need the light, as it is later in the day; so that feature helps conserve battery charge. Finally, there is a three-position sliding switch at the same end where the charging port is to control how the light operates, with each labeled position working as follows:G = normal motion detector operation enabledOFF = light will not come on at allON = light stays on constantlyProbably most people won't use this switch except to put the switch in the "OFF" position for those occasions when taking it down to charge it so that the light doesn't switch on while charging. As far as the brightness goes, this is more than adequate, and my wife loves not having to tote a flashlight around any longer. This works very well, so I don't hesitate to recommend it to anyone with a similar lighting need.

Perfect for what I was looking for!
I found the link to these lights by chance from a how-to youtube video for changing the lightbulb under your microwave above your stove. I know that sounds crazy, but believe me it was not as obvious as you may think. It ended up that the how-to person said that sometimes it ends up being more than just a burned out bulb, and he found these magnetic lights to work even better. Since there is metal underneath the microwave, you can position the light wherever you want. Of course if you are going to cook something creating a lot of steam and heat, you can adjust the position of the light very easily. I don't use the motion detection setting for obvious reasons, and I have it positioned so that it is so easy to turn on and off. I don't know why I didn't think of this myself, but I had no idea that I could find one that: (1) the magnet really sticks/holds tight; (2) the light is actually bright and doesn't glare; (3) it is easily RECHARGEABLE; and (4) I didn't have to pay "an arm and a leg"! I bought more of these, and I plan to replace my OLD plug-in florescent under cabinet fixtures. These lights are fantastic (so far) and I highly recommend. So many uses to explore.

Very bright lights
The brightness of the lights is awesome! They've really helped some of the darker corners in the house. The only downside is if the surface you're sticking them to is textured in any way, the stickers won't hold. We have one over the oven & another one over a bookcase. The one over the oven is doing great. The one over the bookcase won't stay. It keeps falling down. The difference is one is a smooth surface & one is a textured ceiling. But outside of that we're pleased with the product & plan on buying more for the kitchen area.

Awesome
Wish I had found these sooner. I use them for inside of my gun safes. Love that they're rechargeable and the motion detection works great, they turn on right when I open the door and stay on until they don't detect any movement for about 15 seconds. They're more than bright enough that 1 lights up the inside of each of my large gun safes pretty bright when mounted on the top near the front.

Rechargeable
Love these! Just ordered more. I like the option of steady on or motion sensor option. They seem to last a good amount of time on one charge although have only had up for 3 days. I have them under my upper cabinets and they work as they should. And no more shadow on the counter top!

I love these lights
I just got these last night. They installed in minutes. So EASY. They charged up before I went to bed, so I put one in the bathroom. When I got up in the middle of the night, like I always do, the light came right on as I entered the bathroom. I loved them. I'm already looking around for where I can use more.

Motion lights that last
I’ve had a few different types of these that I use in my dark cabinets. These are awesome. No more batteries and a single usb charge lasts days/weeks longer than the battery versions I have purchased.

Great automatic LED lights
I use these in my pantry and they are great! So good I bought a second set for my coat closets and plan to add them in all our closets. They stay charged for at least 6 weeks. They also came in very handy during a storm related power outage. We used them in our bathrooms while the power was out. I highly recommend having a set on hand especially for power outages. Great product!

Work great, can't hang too close to eachother
I love the lights and the idea of them. We bought them to light up a closet and they do the job great. They are nice and bright, they stick well. I gave them a four because what's not mentioned in the description is you can't have them hanging too close or the light from one will stop the other from activating. We contacted the manufacturer after only one light was consistently lighting up when opening the closet door, and this is when it was explained to us. Being we like the design, had already hung them, how much light they throw and can move the other one (each light comes with 2 adhesive strips) we decided to not return them, but felt this information should have been in the initial description. Also before hanging, fully charge each light. When ours arrived, one was in the "on" position and had no charge left. All in all great lights though, and gave us an inexpensive option to light a small walk in closet that was simple to install.

Let there be light!
Moving into a new house recently, I quickly noticed the porch light was too far away from the front door and when trying to enter the numbers on the door lock's keypad, standing in front of the door cast a shadow from the porch light.I also had a hall cupboard where the same problem occurred: standing in the doorway of the opened cupboard blocked the light from the two hall lights.I charged the two closet lights and within a minute each, I had placed the adhesive strips and mounted the metal backplate above the front door and cupboard door, positioned the lights' magnetic backing on the mounting plates. That was now several months ago. Both lights even though in regular use, have not dimmed and trigger immediately when approaching the front door or opening the hall cupboard door.Very easy to install, charge (just pull the light from the metal backplate and plug into USB) and replace on magnetic strip. Simple. Cheap. No wires (or electricians). Lasts for ages on a single charge.NOTE: my front door light is totally covered and no chance of being rained on. I don't believe these lights are waterproof.

Good bright light but battery / charge does not last long
I purchased these in 2021 and was really thrilled. lights came packaged nicely and quickly and look great but if kept on the motion senor setting the battery is only lasting for 2 days. I have these placed under my kitchen cabinets.not sure if anyone has this issue. but i wish the battery life was better

great lighting.
I use them in the the kitchen cabinets. As the door opens they light up rite away, stay on for 20 seconds then turn off. Last week we had a power outage for about an hour, I put one in each room of the house and they worked great. I turned the switch to the on position. They stayed lit the hole hour without going dead. I recommend this product.

Smaller than I thought - But as Advertised
POST 7 Months REVIEW - One of the lights looses it charge very quickly, the two sided tape is now coming unglued on one of them as well.. Just a heads up to those thinking of buying one..So Far So Good - Installed under a cabinet and in dark spot in Bathroom. Like the motion sensor feature, takes a bit to get used to as it startles you when your not used to it. . But so far they light up .. there bright and they charge well. Not sure how long the batteries will last without recharging. FYI there is no feature to adjust the timer on the lights.
