solid construction... easy to assemble
I looked for a while before finally ordering this one and i am glad i did. The tool is very sturdy and gets the job done really well.Took me under 5 minutes to put it together and so far it has passed every test, including turning the logs over 30" diameter with ease. Highly recommended.

Cheap metal - hook snapped after 4-5 uses
Bought this a few years ago as I thought this would be an useful tool in the woods. Ended up not using it very much. Only turned 4-5 firewood logs with it during this time. It was a little more expensive than what I wanted to pay for it but I figured I was paying for extra quality. Apparently not. Today, the hook snapped in the middle while rolling a 4-ft long ~16-inch log. I was using very little force as the ground was level and I just wanted to roll it over to make the last cut. The metal at the break looked very grainy. Almost like air bubbles or sand mixed in. You can see in the picture that it hadn't been used very much. I don't recommend buying this product.

Reasonably well built and functional. Recommended.
Pretty sturdy design, with the added supporting members, which I haven't seen on other models. Works reasonably well though the shaft tends to flex for larger logs. That is at least a reasonable indication of when you might be overloading it (without it breaking outright). So, I think generally a sound design and functional. If I were to change something it would be the number of teeth along the top arm -- there are two, and I think it would be nice to have a third to allow this to be more useful for smaller logs. Also, the two teeth that are there, I think they could be angled just a little more to allow for more positive grip in some situations.Otherwise, pretty solid product.

The greatest thing since sliced bread.
Heavy duty, easily assembled, Elevates large logs to a comfortable height off the ground for sawing. Although not configured as a peavey, even with the A-frame jack in place this tool lets me wrestle large logs around until in a position to use as a timberjack. A truly amazing help for one man chain saw operations - even more amazing rapid ops when working as a team with one on the timberjack, one on the saw - and then switch roles to reduce the rapidity with which fatigue may build up. Which also makes this tool a great aid to safety. I'm now pondering picking up one for smaller sized logs, and considering the longer handle for even more leverage for the even larger. If you harvest windfalls or the neighbor's downed trees or cut down your own trees and need to saw them up - buy this tool.

You had one job!
Snapped right off at the first bend in the hook from handle, 18" log. Hook is Not solid steel, looks like some sort of gray composite metal. Too much focus on handle... that's strong part, hook is the weak point. Perhaps for small logs, but don't need double hook for small logs.

This works great for logs in the larger specification
This works great for logs in the larger specification, not so much for those smaller, they tend to slip and fall. With that said, it is strong, durable and will probably last a lifetime, just understand the application.

The double point further ensures a good bite on the log with little slippage
It is everything I wanted it to be. Should have gotten one long before now. This makes log handling much easier, keeping the saw bar/chain out of the dirt and less stress to my lower back. The double point further ensures a good bite on the log with little slippage. Great Tool.
