Perfect for unruly tomato plants!
I use this to tie up my tomato plants. It is a thinner wire but the quality is great! I even used it to tie a stake to the house and it held up w really intense winds so can be used for more than just the plants themselves! A good price for the amount and can be used for multiple other projects around the house!

It works
Regardless of my review, this twist tie product does work. I was hoping for the old style, wide material tie, but this product is not. It is quite thin and kind of hard to work with. The green covering is some sort of plastic, not paper and slips easily in your fingers while trying to work with it. I generally use it to tie my garbage bags shut, but I’ve switched to small strips of duct tape. I will use it for other things, but reluctantly. If the manufacturer would consider using a coating that’s not so slippery to use and wider, it would be a great product. It’s quite hard to get a good tight twisted hold, unless you use a pliers or something else. Just being honest. The old bread wrapper twist ties with wide paper covering was the best ever! Worked great and lasted forever.

Good to have around
I use this mostly in the yard, for tying up the roses and the raspberry bushes, also to fasten the cross bars to the vertical posts to make support rails for the raspberry bushes. I've also used it to tie my Christmas lights to my porch railing. This is handier than individual twist ties because, first, it's stored very easily just thrown in a drawer and, second, because you can cut it any length -- two inches or two feet! -- without bringing any cutting tool!

Black is not really black
The product itself is good and works well. However, I ordered a black color and it was not the color I was expecting. It has more of a grayish tone-like metal or cobblestone- definitely not black as described. I'm adding a true black for comparison so you can notice the difference.

Adjustable length!
It took me a second to figure out how to use the cutting device on this roll....you press the metal piece down as if it was a scissor. Super easy to dispense and carry around the garden. I feel like the precut ties are always excessively long so you can cut to your preferred length and not have so much wasted product. Nice to have an alternative color than green as well. I will say the only bad thing is that the ties are on the thinner side than other ties I have used in the past but they work just as well.

Easy to use and store!
So easy to use! This solves the problem of storing all the long wires. So convenient and I love the attached cutter. Excellent product.

Eh good enough for price
Pretty thin wire but it works on plants. The cutter broke off the plastic on very first use. Cutter worthless......have some dykes handy and for the price... it does ok. Will buy something else next time.

A thousand and one uses
Never did I think I would need to buy something that resembles twist-ties that you see (or in some cases, USED to see) in the produce department or ones used for a loaf of bread. But then this past summer my husband and I decided to grow tomatoes. We thought they'd probably die before they got a foot high, or maybe would stay tiny because we're not experts on growing fruit or vegetables. But then the seeds sprouted and started growing rapidly. I can't say we fertilized them often. We mainly tried to keep them watered and in the sun as much as possible. They quickly outgrew their peat pots and we transplanted them into the side yard. But then the little plants quickly became strong and tall and we wanted something to help keep them upright and sturdy for a hopeful bounty of tomatoes. After searching for ideas, we found this roll of green cable ties. A roll of these ties is great because it allows you to decide the size of the tie, and this roll even has a cutter on it that cuts the tie, but is also safe since there's no sharp blade exposed. The price was good so we gave them a try and haven't been disappointed yet. The tomato plants are now nearly five feet tall and healthier than I ever thought they'd get. The ties have helped them stay upright since they're tethered to bamboo stakes. They don't cut into the limbs and we don't bind them too tightly. But then, these ties are good for all kinds of projects around the house. I like being able to choose just the length I want, and the cutter hasn't failed to do its job in just one quick snap.
