Onei Heat Shield Flat Iron Travel Pouch (Flat Iron Case Fits Most Full-Size Hair Straighteners)

I had the opportunity to try out my travel pouch recently and was very happy with the pouch. I have a relatively expensive flat iron that can get extremely hot. As I went to place it into the pouch, I flinched a little, being concerned that perhaps it could/would melt the heat resistant plastic and ultimately ruin the flat iron. My worries were wasted, as this little pouch did everything it said it would do. I had no issues with any melting of the case, and my flat iron came out just as clean as it went in. This pouch is very handy for travel, especially if you are on business travel and you have to check out of your hotel and head to the office/airport, shortly after doing your hair. You can pack your flat iron in here without worrying that it will melt or cause damage to any of your other items in your bag. Of course, I would still recommend that if you have the opportunity to let your iron cool off, even for just a few minutes, you would be better to do that first and then insert it into the case. That's just my opinion though, and the case will handle the flat iron being unplugged and going directly into the case. There is a nice pouch on the back of the case to hold your folded up cord, so that it tucks away.I liked this case so much that I purchased a second one. I am keeping one pouch with my travel bags, and the other stays out for my day to day use. I would recommend this pouch to others without hesitation.

Works perfectly for traveling. I can unplug my flatiron and put it in this heat shield bag and pack it in my luggage right away without worrying. Don't get me wrong, I can still feel the warmth emanating from the bag, but I don't need to worry about whether it will burn other items in my luggage before it cools down. Before I owned this bag, I used to have to unplug my flatiron, take a hotel washcloth and soak it in cold water, and shove it between the blades of my flat iron, and change it out every couple minutes, in an attempt to hurry up the cooling-off process before I could pack it in my luggage. I don't have to do that anymore. Just stick it in the heat shield bag and stick it in your luggage. It easily fits the T3 brand flatiron, with a little room width-wise to spare.

(easy fix: make a slit in middle of flap or a make 1/2 flap!)Stored cord can easily slip out of pocket so I secure using a simple rubber band (easy fix: sew an elastic band above pocket)Bottom line, worth the money & peace of mind to store when traveling...even at home for neatness freaks like me

My sister was looking for a pouch for her flat iron. Rolling up the cord while waiting for the iron to cool off is a long process so a good pouch can make a world of difference. I ordered this one because it seemed like a good deal and it turned out to be great. The pouch is large so it can easily fit a larger flat iron as well as a smaller travel iron. On top of that, the little differences set this one apart. The storage area on the back for the cord is great. With some pouches, you have to roll the cord up next to the iron itself and hope it doesn't make contact and burn if it shifts around in a bag or suitcase. Also, this one stores vertically so you don't have to worry about rolling the iron and cord in on itself. It just drops right in, you seal the velcro and you're good to go. If you have a family member or girlfriend you travel with that needs a decent flat iron pouch, this is definitely one you should consider.

I thought it might be too small for my CHI when I ordered it, but it's actually perfect and much easier for storage than the one I had, which I had to wrap around the flat iron myself. Great for travel and for easily putting away without worrying I'll melt anything without letting it cool down first.Only criticism: I can't easily rest the flat iron on it to protect the surface of my sink or dresser while I'm using it without my flat iron falling off, which I could do with the flat wrap protector (similar to the image attached). Overall though, it does a good job for storage and I'm happy with it.

This works as advertised. After use I slip my still-hot iron into the main pocket, fold the cord and slip it into the back pocket, and hang the pouch on a hook on my wooden bathroom door. It packs compactly for travel. My only negative comment is the elastic strap across the upper back. Perhaps it is meant to help contain a folded cord? I’ve had the case for only six weeks, the elastic is already stretching out. Still, that’s not enough to make me lower my rating, I still think that this is a five star item.

A terrific find! The Onei Heat Shield Flat Iron Travel Pouch makes it convenient to pack one's flat iron - whether for a trip to a newcity or a trip to the gym. One can easily insert the flat iron into the pouch. While I have yet to put a hot flat iron into the insulated interior,I have put a warm flat iron into it. No problem. The Velcro flap closes the pouch to keep the iron secure within the pouch, and the cord is stored into the a pouch located on the back while held in place by an elastic band. Very nice pouch for storing one's flat iron whether at home or on the road.

The bag does protect from heat. The flat iron itself fits inside the bag except for the cord attach point. It angles out from the iron handle at about 45 degrees so the flap doesn't close well. If there was a notch on one side of the flap or on the bag itself at the top it would. The elastic does hold the loose cord but it would be much more convenient and secure if it were velcro. I rated it 4 stars because I think the closure and cord holder could be improved.
