The lithium ion battery works much better than the old style 18 volt battery. I found that this battery lasted much longer when used with my grass trimmer. Significantly a longer run time than old style battery.

Definitely lighter and longer lasting than the nicad batteries. The battery indicator light is a plus!

So a buddy gave me a Black and Decker set of outdoor tools and the 2 batteries that came with would last maybe 5-10 min. I knew they were probably on their way out but didn't really realize how bad until I got two new ones. Simply unbelievable.. it lasts way longer than you would expect or hope.

The unit I received did not hold a charge and I gave it a low rating, but the manufacturer got in touch with me and sent a replacement which is excellent. If it keeps delivering over the Summer, I’ll up the rating to 5.

Ordered to replace the old NiCd packs that came with my blower. Seems to work fine and worked with my old charger (I wasn't sure if it would, but it did and no heat, no problems.). Light indicator works as advertised. Time will tell if it last. I'll update if I remember...

So, my background is in aviation maintenance. I've worked on everything from a mini bike as a kid, thru cars, boats, motorcycles and everything from a Cessna 150 to a Boeing 787.I went through all these available replacement batteries. Didn't want a NiCD as the original but the memory effect is a serious negative. Memory effect is if you charge it when it's at 50% to 100%, after a few minutes of use it quickly returns to 50%. You have to always run it down to zero and recharge, cycling it every so often. So I considered NiMH, no memory effect. Some good deals on 2 batteries at under $40 bucks. I decided on this Li-ion lithium battery. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for. It charged with my original OEM wall wart charger designed for NiCd however I purchased a Amazon upgraded charger for faster charging and a true li-ion. I use this for a small leaf blower and hedge trimmer. The lead blower blows way harder than it ever has, and runs forever.I've charged it several times, and always excellent results. The battery meter is an excellent plus. We use this to blow our deck and 2 car carport with a 30ft drive. Battery does it with no problem and still has power to trim the hedges or blow it all again.We will see the life span but as of right now, I'd highly recommend this battery for anyone that just needs one battery to do the whole job. Now if you need 2 batteries, I'd be on the fence as to the cost UNLESS you have multiple tools such as drills, nailer and so forth at which point it would substantiate the investment as it's cheaper than retooling.I'm thrilled with the performance of this battery. Wouldn't hesitate buying another except one fits my needs easily.

These batteries charge lasts a good amount of time per use. I am astounded. They are better than the OEM batteries that came with my product. I have been able to weed easy ENTIRE yard (which isn't small) twice and still had battery left. I have never gotten that. They have made my old weed eater work like a brand new one. Plus I love the charge amount indicator. This is great. I rarely am this satisfied with a product, but I am with this one.

This battery, so far, has worked great for me. I use it in my weed trimmer. With the nicad batteries I used to have I would have to use three of them to trim my yard. With this battery I can do my whole yard on one charge and still have power left. Very impressed. Highly recommend. Quick shipping.
