We needed an autofeeder and after researching a ton of options, we came to settle on this one. It does what it needs to do with no frills or complexity. I did not want one that connected to wi-fi and used an app as it typically added $40+ to the price.This feeder is great. It has a nice large bin for the food, 4 times to program, and works like a charm.The ONLY thing is to not trust the instructions that come with the unit in terms of food amount. Experiment for yourself. Our cat has one 1/4 cup of food three times a day. So, I just tested until the correct amount was released (by taking what was released and measuring it). It took 4 tries until we got it perfect.

I just got this feeder a couple days ago and so far it is awesome! It was easy to set up, it's been working without any issues, and it's helped lesson my mental load, which is the best part. I love that it has tons of portion options, has the removable bowl for cleaning, and the lid locks which is perfect for keeping my cats AND my kids out of the food inside the machine. The screen also locks which is great because my toddler likes to press the buttons for fun. We'll see how it holds up, but so far, this is a wonderful purchase!

This is a great programmable feeder for your cat. it is easy to set up, use, and program. You can select portion size and program feeding/dispensing time(s). This works very well when you can't be home when it is feeding time or if you need to be away for a day or a few days (all based on your individual pet's needs) and you don't want to get a cat sitter to stop by. I thought my skittish cat would be afraid of it at first but she adapted very quickly when she saw it was giving her food!

This is a fantastic way to make sure your pet is fed reliably at the right times and with the correct portions. More convenient and less expensive than arranging for someone else to come do it. But granted, there are no replacements for the human interaction.Setup is straightforward and it was pretty easy to get the quantity dialed in. After just two trials, I figured out that a portion setting of 18 would dispense 1 cup. Since kibble size varies, I think it’s understandable that a chart showing this setting doesn’t come with it.I found loading the batteries was a bit tricky. It was hard to get them int the compartment without bending the springs the wrong way. And on one side, once the battery was in, it sort of wanted to slide out of position. I was concerned this might break the contact but it seems the door keeps this from happening. Also, having to access the battery compartment through the bottom is awkward.One tip; I was able to TRIPLE the quantity held by taping the box it came in to the top of the unit. I lined the inside of the box with wax paper to keep the oils in the food from soaking into the box. Also, I used the folding box bottom as a replacement for the plastic top. Also, testing proved this did not seem to affect the performance of the dispensing apparatus and the quantity dispensed is still right on the money. Any unused meals can just be added back into the holding tank. This gives added comfort knowing that my boy will be fed for much longer than otherwise in the event something takes me out of the picture. If you know what I mean.The quality of the speaker is not stellar, but for this price I think it’s perfectly acceptable.All in all I am very pleased with this purchase!

I got this to put my obese shelter cat on a diet. I got our vet to set the quantity he needs daily, divided that by 4 and tested the amount this machine dispensed per each of its preset units, set the machine to dispense 3 units 4x/day and the cat is good to go. Something to know is that the volume per unit is sorta buried in the owners' manual and it may not be accurate for all brands of kibble. But each unit came out to about a tablespoon when I tested it, so I went with that.It's easy to set the amount to feed, the number and timing of feedings and to set the recorded message to alert the pet that food has been dispensed. Programming took about 3 minutes after I figured out how to unlock the control panel (push and hold the lock button). Seems solidly made, without a lot of fuss to keep it running.

I LOVE this. I was hesitant on ordering one. It works great. Easily controlled portion sizes. Always on time. My cats no longer bother me in the morning to get up and feed them. They have not figured out how to get the food inside. Overall would recommend to anyone. Also super affordable with digital coupons.

I am amazed at how wonderful this feeder is. My cat came from a shelter with some bad habits. Whenever I went into the kitchen she begged for more food and got louder and louder. This feeder has cured the habit of calling for food. When she hears the kibble falling in her bowl she runs to the kitchen. Peace and quiet in the home now. I found the instructions difficult and would suggest you google it first. I followed the recommended amount of kibble on the package to feed my cat. Weighed the 1/2 cup and divided it by 3 as I choose to feed her 3 times a day. Do several quick feeds to see which program delivers the right amount for you. Mine was program 4.

It needs to be configured with the tiny LCD screen, no app. Would be fine for $50 but doesn't compete with the others at the same price point
