Princess Avni Gets her Beauty Sleep is a great book to read to children who sometimes have fears before going to bed or have difficulty falling asleep. It's a story of an Indian princess who is beautiful on the inside and outside and a witch who is jealous of her beauty that casts a spell on the princess. The book helps teach little ones how to battle their fears by thinking of happy thoughts. Super cute lesson, illustrations are bright and colorful, and one of the first modern South-Asian children's books with an Indian princess that I've come across. Received the book last week, and my 6 year old really enjoys reading it too. There's an added bonus of a coloring book in the back. Highly recommend you purchase this book or buy as a gift for others ...your princess will love it!

While waiting with my niece in her pediatrician's office she stumbled upon this book. She was captivated by the story and the cute pictures. Since she is only 2 years old she the story was sweet and to the point so it kept her attention, but even I enjoyed the story line. There is also a great bonus in the back of the book with coloring pages of Princess Avni, which is a great 2 in 1!!!!

Super cute book! Beautiful illustrations and so easy to read. It is a great blend of cultures! All three of our daughters love it!
