Jigging rod
Nice jigging rod. Very sensitive, but strong enough to handle big fish.

Sensitive walleye rod
This rod is very sensitive to the smallest fish bite and has the perfect action for fighting big fish. I use it for fishing live bait rigs and landed a 10 lb. walleye on the first fishing trip after purchase. It is a good value at a price of $120.00. St. Croix rods are high quality and made in the U.S.

Really good rod for shooting docks
Great action for crappie and trout with enough back bone to handle most anything you might encounter while doing just that

Amazing Rod
This rod went beyond any expectations and in my personal opinion, sets the bar for reasonably priced rods that give you the feel and sensitivity you need to catch the most walleye. This rod has an extremely sensitive tip that I mostly use for drifting with a jig or casting and jigging where sensitivity is the most important factor. Second, the weight of this rod is unbelievable. I can hold this rod all day and it is perfectly balanced and extremely light. I have always been a fan of St. Croix products and this rod is no exception. If you are looking for the perfect all around walleye rod to hold in your hand all day and outperform rods that cost 2-3X the amount (G. Loomis) then this rod is the one you need to buy.

Confusing description.
I was surprised at the length of the rod. The size choice box only listed two sizes, 63 or 76, I assumed this was inches and wanting about a 6 foot rod, ordered the 76, What I received was a 7 foot 6 inch rod. I will keep this since it is what I ordered, but am not very happy about it. I would have ordered the 63 if the description had been clear or if I had done a little more research at the St Croix website.

Quality at it's finest.
St Croix rods are outstanding and of very high quality. Feel and sensitivity is fantastic. I can't say enough good things about them.

Price to prefomace ratio.
Great rods for the price. But there not the same quality as the USA built rods. For that matter St. Croixs quality over all is not the same as the first 1 I bought 30 years ago and the company seems to have become more profit oriented. Still a good rod from what used to be a great company.Follow upPurchased 2 of these rods and 1 of them shattered while fishing with less than 1year of purchase. Also St. Croix wants $20 just to replace it even after it was registered with them and there is no promise of getting another one after they look at it. At this point I'd recommend going to a different company if you're looking for a good fishing rod.

Poor shipping methods
First rod came late and broken in half in a flimsy 8' box with a 6'3" rod. Sent it back and they sent another one. It appeared to be ok, but very first fish I caught which was small broke the rod in half on the hookset. If they shipped in proper shipping tubes, 2 rods would still be useable.
