My daughter uses this toothpaste because she has tough tarter build up that does not brush off her teeth with other toothpaste products. CloSYS really works to remove tarter off your teeth, it is highly effective. Since she has been using it, her teeth have been so much more cleaner and whiter looking. The taste is not bad bad, tastes like tooth paste, the tube is a decent size, so it lasts her a couple of months giving it longevity. Well worth what you pay for a healthier smile.

I really like this toothpaste. Itโs ultra gentle for your teeth so very protective for enamel, RDA score is 53 so very gentle cleaning. No harsh whitening ingredients but it does gently whiten your teeth over time. I did a little research into its ingredient, stabilized chlorine dioxide, in this toothpaste, it significantly helps with getting rid of harmful bacteria that cause odor and plaque in your mouth but not good bacteria, and it helps increase the absorption of fluoride into your teeth. My only complaint is it would be nice if it was a little less expensive, but I try to use it more mindfully rather than gob it on my toothbrush and half of it falling off into the sink. You get a pretty big size tube so thatโs helpful.

I switched from Sensodyne to Closys because Closys is non-irritating and you get twice as much product for your money. Closys is sulfate based compound free and therefore is non-irritating. My gums were red and irritated after using Sensodyne for extended periods of time. A tube of Closys is 7 oz. vs. 3.4 oz for Sensodyne; you get twice as much product per tube of Closys vs. Sensodyne. Closys rebuilds enamel and protects against cavities using fluoride same as Sensodyne. Sensodyne protects against sensitivity however, I didn't have any issues with tooth sensitivity so this benefit wasn't important to me. UPDATE Note - when I took the Closys tube of toothpaste with me on a recent plane trip, TSA CONFISCATED MY CLOSYS TOOTHPASTE! TSA said it can't be over 3.4 oz. So don't make the same mistake I did and put it in your carry-on bag. Rather stow it with your checked luggage if you have it otherwise don't take it in your carry-on since you risk losing it to the wonderful TSA.

Closys does not include any of the ingredients that are known to cause canker sores, which my wife used to get until I discovered that she needed to avoid toothpastes with sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS). Most types of Sensodyne and a few other brands also avoid SLS, so we switched to that for a couple of years since they were more available. However, her canker sores began to recur, so I did some more research and found out some other ingredients in Sensodyne can cause the sores. No problems once we switched back to Closys.
