Zodiac Academy: Origins of an Academy Bully

Glad I got this book gor my wife she loves the series and customer service is excellent.

This was a great read and super helpful to understand parts of the story. I read it after zodiac academy but still found it helpful!

Great book, great quality, amazing story

I love ZA so much. It is one of my favorite series and I am always clamoring for any other context and background to the story of our favorite characters. This was a short but perfect set up on why we found our characters the way we did.

I have been reading this amazing series in a particular order and it's always exciting to see a prequel that not only stands on its own but also enriches the main series. I had many questions regarding how Orion and Darius connected and why. The reasoning behind Orion's sister's connection to Lionel. Why the importance of the Vega twins, this novella answered all those questions. This novella is the perfect glimpse into the dark beginnings of Zodiac Academy, set before Darius and the rest of the Heirs officially start their journey. We get to see how each of them discovers their elemental powers, and I loved the added depth it gave to their characters. Highlights for me: • Watching my baby Lance’s dream of becoming a Pitball superstar slip away 💔 • Darius being betrothed to his second cousin Mildred (the drama!!) • Lionel forcing the Guardian bond between Lance and Darius • And that fateful lunar eclipse night when Clara was lost to the shadows, forever changing Orion’s life. At the center of it all is Lionel Acrux—selfish, ruthless, and power-hungry—whose ambitions to dominate Solaria drive so much of the heartbreak and darkness in this story. Like always, I was hooked by the worldbuilding and messy, complicated characters. This novella makes the larger series hit even harder, and I can’t wait to continue my journey with these characters.

Before Darius was attending Zodiac Academy and Lance was a professor at the academy, they dreamt of a different path for their futures. Lance was the pitball star of Zodiac with dreams of going pro. Darius was the celestial heir with his powers newly unlocked and despite his father’s desires he had dreams of his own. Dreams that didn’t include the betrothal to his cousin Mildred and Lance’s sister Carla being taken away. But in one night those dreams were destroyed and Lionel, Stella and dark magic were to blame. Meet the heirs and Lance four years before Solaria learned the Vega twins were alive and everything thought to be true was about to be tested.

I really enjoyed this one. I love Orion and Darius, they’re definitely my two favorite MMCs. While many people say the novellas for ZA are not necessary, I am still very glad I read this one! It really helps you understand why Orion and Darius are the way they are and how their relationship came to be!

Great series

I couldn’t put this series down! Whether you are a die-hard fan of astrology or just looking for a fantastic new world to get lost in, the Zodiac series delivers on every level. ​What I Loved: ​Immersive World-Building: The author does an incredible job of creating a unique universe that feels both expansive and deeply detailed. ​Compelling Characters: Every character is well-developed with clear motivations. You really find yourself rooting for your favorite "signs." ​Non-Stop Action: The pacing is perfect. Just when you think you know what’s coming, there’s a twist that keeps you flipping the pages late into the night. ​If you enjoy stories filled with political intrigue, cosmic stakes, and emotional depth, this series is a must-read. I highly recommend picking up the first book—you’ll want the whole set immediately!
