The 13-Story Treehouse: Monkey Mayhem! (The Treehouse Books, 1) Hardcover – Illustrated, April 16, 2013

My daughter absolutely loves these books. They are fun and silly with cute stories. She loves the funny pictures! Kid friendly and appropriate!

Got this for my son because he likes these comic book type books. If your kids enjoy reading books like Dogman, Smile, Guts and books like that they might enjoy this series.

What a great book for a 7 year old boy especially if he is at the stage of just starting chapter books. This has a lot of crazy illustrations in each chapter, not just words.My grandson and I each have a copy of this book and read it over FaceTime. He reads a page (sometimes he needs help with words like catapulted and swaying) and then I read a page. The illustrations are great because there is so much going on - we would study the drawings and laugh especially as we are each holding up the same thing to show each other in the FaceTime camera!!!He FaceTimed me tonight so we could finish the last 3 chapters of the book. When I asked him if he wanted the next book in the series - YES YES YES!I highly recommend this book especially if you have a boy (I am sure girls would like it too but there are so many books written for girls) and he is past the picture book stage. I love being part of my grandson's reading even if I am in a different state (PA for me and MA for my grandson).

I enjoyed the engaging words and pictures in this graphic novel. I purchased the book for a student who struggles with reading to encourage him with a desire to read. It was recommended to me by a third grader. His “selling point” was that it was a series of books. If you enjoy the author and style, you usually want to see more! After reading the book, I felt like this was the book that would hook my student! It did!

"The 13-Story Treehouse" is a book that I plan to use with the students at the school where I volunteer. The quality of the book was more than I expected—it was a hard cover and I expected a paperback.I have not read "Capturing the Heart of the Confederacy" or "Volume 3 of the Lincoln-Douglas debates."I am halfway through "Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet" and I am really enjoying the book. I ordered two versions—e-reader and the paperback. I like to lend my books to friends and that is the reason for this purchase."Invisible Thread" was a great read! As a volunteer at school my work is with students below grade level and usually with many home problems. In want to strive to watch for ways to help these students.One other book not listed was "Farmer Girl" was wonderful! I contacted the author and told her of my enjoyment.Thank you for asking.

The book is silly and your kids may like it. It's fine. My kids and I found it to be so ridiculous that we just didn't have a lot of joy reading it. They were ready to quit after a few chapters. We stuck it through to the end, but there wasn't a big payoff. It's good for people who don't care if the plot is loose and not too deep. It's definitely irreverent, and silly. We've decided not to continue reading the series.

My son started reading this book when he was 4.5 yrs old. Now, at 5.5 yrs old, he has read this particular book countless times. He usually finishes it in 1 sitting. We also bought the 26 storey treehouse which is equally well loved. He has read that umpteen times too. We have borrowed the 39, 52 and 65 storey treehouse books from the library, but I’m thinking of purchasing the 78 and 91 storey treehouse books on Amazon because it’s not available in the library. My son simply loves this series.
