Escargot Dining Set 12 Compartment Holes Snail Plate Tong 4 Forks Stainless Steel

This is a thick heavy duty piece of stainless steel with shallow indentations to hold snail shells for baking Escargot. The indentations are not too deep, but can still be used without the shells in a pinch. You just don't have room for as much snail butter. The forks are very handy and sharp. The tongs are a bit flimsy, but they work and it seems the really good escargot tongs are rare these days. It did take a while to get here. In retrospect I probably should have realized that Meng Bao Bao was not typical of mid Atlantic snail plate outlets if there are such things. Still it was a surprise when it eventually appeared to find it was shipped from China by the China Post. All in all it is worth waiting for. Please pass the French Bread.

I LOVE ESCARGOT! I order a can of 48 a couple of times a month I havnt had the tray forks and accessories. I bought these for my bff’s parents finding out they live escargot and never make them at home Next will be the set for myself 🤗

Escargot cooking and eating tools are very far and few between on American sites. While this set is fairly budget minded. I would recommend for the stainless steel dish and forks. The holder tongs are not that great. They have a low quality stamped metal feel. The tongs work, but so does cheap "diner" silverware. Buy this set for the tray and the forks. It is a great set to help you cook the snails upright using the tray in the oven and then can be used to serve the snails. The forks have enough rigidity to pop the "slippery little suckers" out of their shells. This is possibly the best set under $20 I was able to easily find. Options in France and their territories might be better.

If you love the taste of dried snails and a crusty texture of the sauce your in luck as thats just what this wonderful stamped very shallow pan will do for you. However if you would prefer a shallow pan for serving cold appetizers then and only then will you not waste your money!

I was surprised at the size. At a recent party, I loaded it up with three cans of medium sized escargot. The rim accommodated the snails and all the garlic butter, and cooked nicely in a few minutes. I certainly recommend it.
