A more heavily built item than I was expecting. Obviously, even with this thickness of steel, a portable angle grinder would work to gain entry eventually. But that's not the point - 99% of thefts would be opportunistic, and this safe defeats such access.The large safe is large enough to accommodate a laptop, SLR camera gear and a document pouch of valuables. It has one internal shelf (which had worked loose in transit and was clanking around inside - fortunately no damage done).Easy to mount the safe with holes provided bottom and back. It's simplicity itself to set a passcode and the device responds promptly to keypad entries. Now the only quandary is where to store the emergency access keys: might I need another safe for those 😂?

Bought to lock away medicines, knives, blades etc. Works well. Keeps children safe. Gives peace of mind.

The safe would deter most opportunist thieves but a determined thief with say an angle grinder and a crow bar would be able to get in. However, the cost of a high security safe would be at least five times what this one costs! The locking bars seem sturdy enough and the crackle finish is stylish. Being supplied with batteries was a plus. Setting up the key code was very straightforward and having two emergency keys was great. Having seen the supplied fixing bolts, I will probably buy some better quality ones to make it more difficult to prise away from the wall. The removable shelf could also be useful if you have to store box files. Given that the safe is neither fire nor waterproof I have also bought a document wallet to store house deeds, wills etc from Amazon that covers both these eventualities. Would definitely recommend.
