Dental Health Bones Smoked Bacon Flavor 17oz (2 Pack)

I had used Plaque Off Powder for my Schnauzer after having his teeth cleaned this past summer. I am not as impressed by the performance of Greenies which I have had him on for about a year, so I was looking for a new product to use as a treat that would also keep his teeth clean. I was happy to find Indigenous Pet Product Dental Health Bones, made by the same company that makes the Plaque Off Powder. Unfortunately, I was in a hurry to order as I was almost out of the Plaque Off Powder, so I did not take the time to do more research on the bones. The Seller does not tell you what's in the product although another customer requested that information. Other than telling customers that it contains kelp, little usable information is shared. Here is what is in it:Potato starch, vegetable glycerin, chicken meal, dried sweet potato, dried carrots, gelatin, chicken, dried kelp, natural flavor, lecithin, salmon oil, natural bacon flavor, natural smoke flavors, sorbic acid (preservative), Inulin.There's nothing in this that is absolutely awful but, I wish I had known what was in it before purchasing because I try to keep my dog away from chicken; it appears to cause bad reactions in his skin. The fact that I've had the dog on the Plaque Off Powder for a few months now may be a reason why his skin has been acting up. The Plack Off Powder doesn't tell you what's in it either, beyond the fact that it contains kelp. Unfortunately, I just bought a double pack of these bones, as well as a double size container of the Plaque Off Powder. Should-a, would-a, could-a... Oh well, I will select more carefully next time and hope that this information is helpful for someone else. This was an expensive mistake.UPDATE:I want to advise readers of a discovery: I have found that when making this order on my phone I was/am NOT able to see the photographs of the product which include the backside of the product where the ingredients are listed. However, when looking at the same page on a larger screen such as a tablet or laptop, you are able to see all of the information regarding the product (I am using a Note 4 phone, so is not teensy). I didn't notice this before. From now on, I'll shop on the larger screen!

I cut them in half for my 17 lb Lhasa Apso mix. I give it to him as a dessert after dinner.

My dog loves these and his teeth are now really clean.

My dogs absolutely love these! Each of them gets 1/2 stick every day while resting in their crates while the mean bird is out of his cage. The dogs know what time this happens and herd me to their crates because they really want this special treat. As a side benefit, their teeth are sparkly white - and both these dogs are seniors!

My dog expects one of these bones every morning.
