A Great Holiday Read
Like the author’s other books, this is a unique twist on a classic Christmas story and is just as engaging as the original story and various adaptations I’ve seen/read.The characters are easy to become attached to and enjoy or dislike through the emotions they draw out of us. What is really interesting is I actually felt for Stan in the beginning for feeling like everyone was turning against him. It’s one thing to know when a character is wrong, but causing the reader to emphasize with them while knowing they’re wrong makes the experience way more interesting than it would be otherwise. My only problem with the characters is my own doing. I’ve been reading this series out of order (don’t ask, I don’t know why. Lol), so I didn’t get as much out of a couple of characters from previous books. I’m sure once I read those, I’ll pick up on what I missed the first time, so if you haven’t, I recommend reading these in order. It’ll only enhance this more. The story itself is the author’s typical engaging, fast paced adventure and, like the original A Christmas Carol, can be read in a single sitting and bring out many of the same feelings and sentiments as the original. In closing, I’d like to add this is now on my yearly December reading list. This is one story that’ll be fun to read over and over again.

Characters had some depth--nice!
Cute and fun modern take off on A Christmas Story. A very quick read. I liked that the characters had some depth to them, made the, of course, turnaround of the scrooge believable. Reason for four stars is that it dragged a couple of places for me, maybe because some of the characters were from other books and so there was quite a bit of explanation? Still overall a charming read.

More fun with Justyn and Rebecca
Justyn and Rebecca wait for the birth of their son while celebrating the holiday but father Stan still can't rap his mind around Rebecca's new husband and his pegan family and freakish looks. Rebecca is ready to disown her father after sending him home for his rudeness during the holiday party at Rebecca's Inlaws. Little does Stan know his life will change after a few helpful but haunting spirits from the past.Amazing characters and setting of musicals makes this series always longing for more.
