Squirrels love it.
Bought this for the wild squirrels in our park. The chickadees and nut hatches like it also. Very fun to feed them. Would be nice if it was less expensive.

Squirrels love it and it's less messy than peanuts
I also buy their wooden squirrel feeder. The squirrels are pretty desctructive if you don't feed them regularly and I find I have to buy a new squirrel feeder about once a year. These pumpkins seeds are a great treat and don't mess up the ground under the tree near as much as peanuts and corn do. Meh, it's all organic, I suppose. Little side note: How much do they like it? A squirrel once ripped through the backdoor screen to get to the bag, which was sitting on a shelf in the mudroom.

squirrels love it!
I recently released a squirrel that I had taken care of since she was a small, orphaned baby. I purchased these pumpkin seeds to provide a healthy food for her upon her release. Happy to say that after 3 months in the wild, "our" squirrel is still alive and well...and still stops by once a day for a bowl of these pumpkin seeds.....very happy with purchase. Update: 4/03/2014: The squirrel we raised is on her 2nd litter of babies and still stops by almost every day for these pumpkins seeds and a slice of apple. I have seen her eating wild food (fungi, truffles, fir & pine seeds, leaf buds, etc.) so I know she is getting a nice natural diet (along with her "treat" of pumpkin seeds from us.) She looks beautiful and is very healthy. Update: 5/28/2015: "Our" squirrel still comes by virtually every day for her pumpkin seeds and apple. She is nursing young (this is her 3rd litter.) All the other squirrels on our property love these pumpkin seeds, as do the birds. The seed hulls do leave a mess behind, but they do degrade after several months.

Squirrel's love it
The squirrels ate this up in a heartbeat. Squirrels don't hibernate so I love to help out in the winter months

My squirrels didn't like this
After reading "fear mongering" reviews of peanuts for squirrels (some saying we could kill our squirrels, lead them to malnutrition, mange, etc.), we switched to these from our previous products, whole peanuts in the shell (formulated for wildlife - ie. unsalted) or Critter Crunch. Our squirrels and other critters always came running and hung out at our wildife feeding stations. After we put this stuff out, they came to inspect and walked away. Rain came, soaked these, bugs came, ants, mold, etc. When given no alternative, yes, the squirrels will come and get these, but honestly, I think these will make my squirrels sick, simply because they get wet and moldy and gooey and mooshy before they are interested enough. I should have gone with my gut and left well enough alone, because our squirrels are healthy, normal size, bushy tails, shiny coat, etc. all from eating Critter Crunch, corn and peanuts. This was a complete waste.

Squirrels Love It...Not A Real Deterrent For Feeders Though
I've tried a lot of things to keep squirrels away from my feeders, including in the past providing them with their own food. I never had any luck with the so called critter blends that usually contain a lot of corn which my squirrels are only interested in if they are starving. No question that these pumpkin seeds are the way to go for the squirrels can't get enough of them. Only problem is that they go through them like crazy and you run out in no time. They eat them up and then return to your feeders for more. Unless money is no object, or, you sincerely love feeding squirrels regardless of whether you have a squirrel/feeder war thing going on, I would skip this option as a deterrent. It won't work and only see you spending more of your money.. : )
