I could write a thesis on how absolutely astonishingly amazing this bass sounds for the price. And right out of the box too. I made zero adjustments. Maybe I got lucky and the guitar tech has similar tastes as me lol. Great tone controls. Great pickup response. I daresay, I had more fun with it than my Fender Custom P in the 2 hours I tested it's potential. Unreal. I purchased the left handed fiesta red version of this little monster and it's a party - that's for sure! I had a feeling I needed a mini jazz...Thanks CNZ Audio for convincing me I wasn't wrong. Oh! Out the box, it was questionable. But thats to be expected. A short bridge, rod, and pickup adjustment has got this thing sounding on par with fender mustangs at half the price. The neck colour is a bit tacky, you need to tighten the tuners,and perform typical setup, but after this thing plays great the electronics are actually responsive (rare for cheap basses imo) and it's just fun to play on.Having tried mustangs, ibanez mikro, and the gretsch jr jet, I'd say this one is neck and neck with fender.

So I got this bass after reading many comments on communities and videos, and it's just as good as everyone says. Just had to do minor adjustments out of the box.The bass has a great finish, it's very good looking and sounds great, doesn't feel at all like a cheap bass and it's definitely not a toy, right now I started gigging with it and everyone loves the sound of it.

This is a great little bass right out of the box. String change,maybe,but unless one is buying it to make modifications not much else needs to be done. Nice looking instrument. Good action. Impressive tone and tone control for the price,sounds how a jazz bass should sound.A touch of electronic buzz here and there but not bad at all. I have a much more expensive won't mention the maker bass that is noisier than this.And so much fun to play! After years of playing a big P-bass this thing is a joy to run scales on. Definitely going to be my main at home practice bass.It's a winner,I definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive short scale bass for whatever reason,whether they're a young beginner or an older player like me starting to feel the ache.

First of all I would like to say if you’re thinking about purchasing something from CNZ Audio don’t think about it, just do it. I recently bought this CNZ mini jazz bass from Amazon and I wasn’t sure about the company well, I received the bass before the ETA, packaged well and secure. Now for the good part, lol I have been a bass player for 40 years owning many expensive and well known brand names. I am still gigging but getting up there in age so I did many reviews on these short scale basses. I pulled the trigger and got one, received it last week, did some minor adjustments and set up but pretty much came ready to go out of the box. I had a question so I called John at CNZ, he answered my questions, made a suggestion and everything worked out fine. His professionalism and attention to detail was spot on. He even went above and beyond by sending me some pictures of something else I ordered from them that was shipped out immediately. It’s great to see a company that really focuses on customer service in theses days. As for the bass, fit and finish is outstanding, controls are as good if not better than a bass with three times the cost. The quality of this product is truly impressive for the price and I would not hesitate for a minute to do business with this company. I very rarely write a review, but after receiving the bass and dealing with the company once more I would highly recommend, and not be afraid of purchasing anything from them, in fact I already did and it’s on it was. Just buy it.

Great bass out of the box. I don't need to make modifications. I plan on buying more from CNZ. They have to be losing money because I would pay alot more for this quality. If you are interested in a Mini Bass buy this one and enjoy...
