I know it sounds ridiculous but I've done some research on poop bag holder's. My husband and I have two medium sized dogs and we have gone through four poop bag holders in the two years that we've had our dogs. Either the plastic ones break or the cloth ones are not made very well and they come apart at the seams. This product had good reviews so we decided to give it a try. I just bought it last week and here's what I think. The bag holder looks like it is well-made. The material is not a flimsy cloth bag but it almost feels like a Gore-Tex. Looks like it could stand up to being dragged on the ground which we all know dogs will do with their leashes. The bag is a little bit bigger than a normal poop bag role. It makes it a little bit larger however now you can hold two rolls in one bag instead of one. And as we all know you can never have too many poop bags. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because we've only had it for a week and I would like to see how well it stands up to our pooches. But it looks like we're off to a good start. Thanks primal pet gear, it looks like you might be one of the only companies that actually thinks about the dog and their parents when you are making your product.

Update: After 2 years I finally had to replace this because the velcro would not stick anymore. Everything else was working flawlessly but it wouldn't stay on the leash. Tried using a zip tie to hold it on but didn't like it swinging around. Broke down and got a new one since the price is reasonable.I love this! My old plastic dog bone bag holder broke off on a walk and got lost so I decided to try this one. I love that it velcros on and you can reposition it where ever you like on the leash. It also has a ring if you prefer to hook it on somewhere. You can even hook it on to a belt loop or a purse or anything if you want. Because it velcros to the leash it is totally silent as I walk the dog. No more swinging around and making noise like my old one did. There is enough room for a full roll of bags plus a key if you like. You can actually fit 2 full rolls in there but that pretty much maxes it out. But you can definitely put a refill in there before the first one runs out. The material is well made and I don't have any fear of it breaking like the plastic ones do. I have a large dog and a fairly wide, thick leash and this fits onto it perfectly. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Good quality material. The hole where the bag pulls thru is a little tight, but hopefully will loosen in time. I was surprised by the size and thickness of it however. It takes up a little more space than I would like. The size though allows room for extra small items. The clip is great preventing the holder from slipping down on the leash. I just wish there was a way to make the velcro tighter on the leash so it does not also ride up. Otherwise though, it seems like a great purchase that will last me a while. I usually use the plastic hard shell bag holders but they always break or somehow gets loose where I end up losing the cap and a roll of bags. Give this a try. It might just work for your needs.

First of all, I couldn't believe how hard it was to find a cloth bag. None of the local pet stores had them, so I took to Amazon and found Primal. I read the evaluations and decided to give it a try. Wow, am I impressed. The bag is made of a thick fabric, the zipper is good quality and it stays in place with the Velcro loops just fine, and it doesn't bounce around while we are walking. The pull through opening is a bit tight, but that isn't a bad thing as only one bag at a time comes out, not like my old plastic carrier that would empty a roll if I wasn't careful. It holds 2 rolls quite easily. I buy the larger heavier ones and it still works well.I would recommend this product to those who have had their share of frustrations with bag holders. I'm going to order a second one to attach to the leash I keep in my car as well.

I pick up after my dogs. Ergo, I need a holder for the roll of bags I carry to do this pick up job.Previously, I've used hard barrel-like holders that easily break. I found a soft fabric holder that really went the distance and finally fell apart.I did an Amazon review and stumbled upon this particular holder. After a lot of use, I can report this holder has some very nice properties.First, the outlet is centered. The bags unravel without a hitch. Getting the bag through the restrictive center is a slight bother. I use my ballpoint pen to poke it through so no problem.The Velcro holder seems strong and holds well. However, there is a metal key ring on the end of this that I threaded around the bigger key ring that fits around my auto-leash handle.The holder holds 2 rolls of bags. When one is gone the spare is right there. Thread a bag through the center hole and place a second roll in the case. Nice.

This is the most attractive poop bag holder I have (currently have 4). It is very well made, a bold purple color and attaches easily to the leash with Velcro straps. It is large enough to hold a few treats or your car keys also. My bag also has a sturdy plastic ring at the end that I find very useful. I don't see it in the product pictures but mine has one. You can use this ring to hold your car keys, tie off a poop bag so you don't have to hold it, or securely attach it to a clip on something other than a leash. The bags that came with it are a little smaller and thinner than I like for my large dog, but that's an easy fix to just swap those bags out for the ones I like, so no stars deducted for that. This is my favorite holder. I highly recommend it.

I bought this because of a discount offered when purchasing the Primal Pet Gear double handled padded leash. I bought the purple leash (which after a few uses I absolutely love!) and figured that the purple poop bag holder would be the same color. It just arrived and it isn’t the same color at all. It’s more of a fuchsia/pink purple; not bad in and of itself, but not what I thought I was ordering. If I had realized the color difference, I would not have ordered it. The bag itself seems of good construction and seems like it will function well, but I’m disappointed with the color difference.
