These ear muffs are perfect! They snap right into the hard hat with little effort and have very simple but effective adjustments. I work around a wood chipper all day so the noise was unbearable without ear protection. These did the job! I can hardly hear the chipper running while wearing them. The only issue I had was that the first couple of days in the heat, after sweating, around my ears became raw and itched but within 3 days it was not an issue. I suppose it was either the ear muffs being new or my skin grew used to them. Overall these are perfect!

Pros: Relatively Inexpensive. Convenient, on demand. Eliminates cumbersome searching for earplugs. Minimizes fear of losing expensive ear molds, unless you lose the entire hardhat itself. Amazing sound coverage while allowing moderate talking levels. Can dual protect w/ earplugs, increasing ear protection. Stabilizes hardhat from falling off head. Possible to integrate with headlamp without conflict. Makes you look like you've been in the trade for awhile. Secure and durable attachment. Cons: Since it's a permanent attachment, it can get dusty, remember to periodically clean, or risk ear infection of some sort. Additional uneven weight distribution to hardhat, adjust according to balance weight. Difficulty working in tight spaces => Hardhat must be on head for effective protection. This is where ear plugs come in, if necessary. Color. (Personal Preference)

Muffs work well but I wanted to use them with ear plugs also but that actually made the sound worse. Had to use one or the other. Seem to be a quality product

These muffs are great. They attach securely to my hat, pivot 360º, and offer superb protection for my ears. Using these muffs, I can avoid fidgeting with inside-the-ear plugs while I am wearing gloves. But sometimes I put the inside-the-ear plugs underneath these muffs when standing next to screaming industrial machinery. Rest assured that these offer a great deal of decibel reduction. Installation was literally a snap. The muffs are secure and have no danger of coming loose. The ear padding is comfortable after hours of use. They add some weight to your hat, however. I would recommend this product.

This item fits my 3M bump hat perfectly. It really eliminates sound. Delivery was very prompt.

I work frequently around very loud drill rigs in the environmental consulting field. The greatest aspect about using these earmuffs is that I can put them on or take them off very easily and not have to worry about misplacement. Saves time and increases the likelihood of protecting my hearing instead of fumbling around for earplugs (which get dirty quickly as well). Definitely one of the better quality of life purchases I've made.

My main worry when buying these was if they fit snugly to the ear while they were attached to my hard hat. This has not been an issue. They hold tightly. I wear them around concrete trucks while they are mixing and the ear muffs brings the noise down to a low distant rumble. When not using them you can pull them away from your ear till you feel a click, this positions them out and you can rotate them up to the top of your hard hat. You can then click them back down and they will stay snug against your hard hat. I have wore them like this for short times. When I do not need the ear muffs I generally take them off my hard hat as they do add quite a bit of weight to your hat. They work great and are worth the purchase.
