Mine are more of a champagne gold, rather than the bright gold shown in the photos but that’s fine by me, I like them a lot. They’re big too, larger than your average place mat. Flexible and strong with a good weave, they look good, although I find it odd that the coasters aren’t the same woven pattern. They won’t resist spills, although liquid will sort of settle in the weave a bit so you’ll have time to whip them up and of course they rinse easily under the tap.For heat resistance, not all that great - fine for warm plates but no way would I trust anything out of the oven. A reasonable buy though.

A nice looking design that brings the dining experience together. Have yet to wash the placemats themselves, but I imagine it to be pretty easy considering the way the placemats are made.The plastic definitely looks and feels high-quality, and withstands heat from fresh off the stove pots pretty well.

I had been looking for a table runner for ages and finally plumped for this set. I definitely wanted vinyl for when grandchildren are around but it needed to look really nice for my new kitchen and new modern table and I'm really pleased with this set. The runner is rolled up inside the place mats so you do have to roll it the other way because being vinyl it obviously needs flattening out but other than that, I love it... better than cotton you have to wash and iron !
