The diameter of the bolt that serves as the axle for these wheels is about 9mm

Q: For 2" casters what is the maximum projection away from axis of rotation? How much would they extend past edges of cabinet if mounted directly on edge

Not sure why I got this. Mine are 5” casters. I wanted to see them (think it looks cute) and raise the cabinet. When they are locked, because the lock sticks out so you can step on it; they stick out 2 1/4”. (Also mounted on the edge). Hope that helps

Yes, when the casters in locked position, the swivel also locked, ensuring the safety of people and goods.

Q: Does anyone know what size threaded nutsert would fit the bolts for the 3 inch casters?

I used 5/16” lag screws to mount mine. If you’re using threaded inserts to screw bolts into you’ll have to use inserts for 1/4” bolts unless you want to modify the openings on the casters.
