Easy to install, this enclosure is extremely well made, definitely made here in the US, construction appears “bulletproof “. I’m in the molding industry and attest to the high quality, high value product, don’t buy the cheap versions unless you want to be completely dissatisfied

I liked that this box gets recessed into house. That was the scary part cutting a hole in your house. You need to find the right location and make sure that you can get wiring to your opening. The box is build sturdy and once recessed into the opening it should be fine. They give you more than enough caulk string. I felt the screws were long enough. I temporary mounted the mounting plate than traces the opening. I used a multimax tool to cut the opening out. Box install was not to hard. Make sure you do not cut too close to a stud. That’s the biggest challenge. Measure two or three times to make sure.

incredibly sturdy and perfect for my application: i had struggled to find a new box to fit where the previous homeowner/installer had mangled the trim and cut the hole off-centre. even though i still had a slight gap due to this odd situation, the generous flange meant a small bead of caulking did the trick. (probably not necessary in most installations.) agree re price: otoh, it's a good product and i doubt i'll ever have to replace it.

Just finished installing this and found it to be well designed. I can offer a couple of observations based on my particular situation. I had vinyl siding, foamboard and sheathing. The screws included were not long enough to reach the wood sheathing. So I replaced with longer screws in order for a secure install. The other is when wrapping the included weather seal, don't go over the screw holes. Go around them or cut a slot. Reason being is when you go to turn the screws in, they catch the putty and twist it around the screw, pulling it out of place. I would definitely purchase this product again.

Arlington did well with this box, thinking of every scenario except... foam core base for siding. No easy method in packaging to sturdy it up. No suggestions. I used strips of plywood.Other than that it is great. The siding flange provides easy template to cut out. The box itself is ideal for recess installation of devices. Sealant is good. My customer was pleased with the result.Could be a little less expensive. It's plastic yall. Not platinum.

This is probably the best in-use device box I've used except use that are installed before siding is installed. Its not difficult to install due to that you do need to follow directions an error during installation is not an easy repair.

Top notch quality item would definitely recommend this
