Perfect for travel
I purchased this for our trip to Europe. The dimensions are a bit off-it's about 1" longer than specified, so I was worried they'd make me check it at the airlines. I just kept it on my shoulders during the check in process and had no problems. For Air Canada it didn't fit in the overhead compartment straight in, so I had to turn it sideways. For RyanAir and EasyJet it fit perfectly in their overhead compartments when I put it straight in. The zippers are very heavy duty, and I love the fact that the entire front opens for easy access. The bottom area was perfect for bulky shoes. The wheels are great (not the spin type but nice and thick--they seem durable). I was concerned about the handle, but it was fine too. There are no outside compartments for a water bottle, so I just used a carabiner and that worked great. The straps folded easily into the compartment when I wanted to roll it and then pulled right out when I wanted to put it on my back. It was comfortable, but I didn't hike with it or anything--Lots of stairs & escalators in airports & train stations. It still looks brand new after almost a month in Europe. I highly recommended this backpack--great value for the price. Can't wait to use it again!!

Convenient and durable. Little heavy.
Took these with us to New York for 5 nights. Nice and big, fit enough clothes for our trip (we packed light) and held up really well being toted and wheeled around the city. I did notice after 5 days the wheels where a little beat up, they are plastic, but they did get a lot of use. I took a star off because they are a bit heavy even before loaded up with clothes so after a full day my back was aching, thank goodness for the wheels! We are excited to take them to Europe soon and I think they will work perfectly. Very convenient with the backpack option getting on and off trains.

Well designed, big, comfortable, super value.
This bag is an amazing value and well made. It weighs 5.4 pounds empty. When I got it, I packed it solid with books and some diving weights - 52 lbs- to see if it could handle it and to see how it would ride and feel on my back: no problems and surprisingly comfortable. I also ordered a similar but more expensive ($65) pack to compare: it had more padding on back and straps but I like the design and features of this Aeros bag way better, especially the compression straps on the sides and the three handles. And, the backpac straps stow better in a padded pouch when not in use: they have clips to quickly attach/detach without changing the length adjustment; no clips on more expensive bag, you have to take the straps apart to stow them. Plus this bag has full size inline skate wheels, far superior to the little "cheap-suitcase" wheels on the more expensive bag. Even if the prices had been reversed I would still take this bag.I was concerned about the reviews about the seams coming apart so I studied the issue. To avoid this problem: 1) The compression straps should be used to relieve the stress on the zippers and stitched seams - this is a great feature so use it. After loading, tighten the straps to compress and transfer the load of the contents to the straps, so it is not straining the zippers and seams. 2) Avoid carrying by the handle on the front zippered cover - use it sparingly and only if the compression straps are tightened down. The top and side handles are designed for carrying. Also, keep the two main zipper pulls together at the maximum closure point so stress on zipper is even - you can even put a small padlock or biner thru the zip pulls. It has a huge main compartment 23x15x9" and the cover folds open like a suitcase - another superior feature. There is a separate padded laptop pouch within the main compartment that is only 11" wide - my thin 14" ACER fits but my old thick 15" Dell Precision does not fit. But no matter the dell can just go in the main compartment in its own padded carry pouch. l got this bag for going into NYC on the train to hold a few nights clothes, laptop, large SLR camera and some other gear. I needed something I could put on my back and hike 10 blocks while carrying other stuff, and also be able to drag it thru the train station. As far as waterproof goes (the more expensive bag boasts waterproof), this bag should be fine in light short rain, but when its really raining the only sure way to keep inside stuff dry with any suitcase or pac is putting a garbage bag around it. Then the outside stays dry too. Just pack a garbage bag with a drawstring tie, put the bag over it so tie is at bottom and feed straps thru small holes you punch with your finger. Or just carry an umbrella (which can stow vertically outside the pack under the compression straps).

Stitching came off in two places after two weeks of use; my bag was not overflowing. The design was great but not the quality.
I bought this bag in April for a one-month backpacking trip to Europe in May, which I completed yesterday. What I liked about the design was the multiple handles on the sides and top of the bag, as well as the roller wheels and backpack convertibility. This had everything I liked if I were designing a bag for this purpose. However, the quality did not live up to the design. My bag was not overflowing, full but not overflowing to the point you cant close the zippers. The weakest part was the stitching around the bag and zippers. The stitching came off in two places after only two weeks of use. These were either from carrying with the handles or the poor stitching of the zippers. See attached photos. I was just holding my breath that the damage would not get worse for the remaining two weeks of my trip.I really wanted to like this bag, but the quality made it difficult to give a higher rating. Maybe I got a lemon, but not sure.

Durability is 2 months of daily use.
Bought this for my middle schooler, it had many 5 star reviews. Bought it in July, back to school was mid august and by September 30, the rubber on the wheels disintegrated and peeled off and the bearings were shot. The webbing for holding a water bottle in the front also tore apart. I'm sitting here looking at it wondering if I should try to fix it or just pitch it. Not worth the current price by far.
