Definitely not universal.
Threads pattern doesn't fit anything. Bought this to replace the non-venting "vent" cap on my Attwood marine fuel tank. Threads didn't match, but I figured, "Hey... thing thing only cost a few bucks, but it probably fits one of the dozen other small engine tanks I have that take a 2 inch cap."Spoiler Alert: it doesn't
