Beautiful puzzle and a great gift!
This is a beautiful puzzle for sure-but it is so much more! It is beautifully packaged with a drawstring bag to keep the pieces and a full size poster to assist when doing the puzzle. The box also included a lot of extra information about the monumental engineering project that the Route 99 tunnel in Seattle was. The puzzle is a great add-on to the book “Supertunnel - Journey from Light to Light”, and it offers a chance to challenge young would-be engineers to imagine the challenges of drilling an enormous tunnel under an existing city! The “brass in” tag educates on the dangers of working underground and the safety measures taken to protect the workers. I think it would make a great gift!

Handsome, interesting, educational construction-themed puzzle
What a great puzzle! Seattle’s “Super Tunnel” subject is unique (there needs to be a new category of ‘construction’ subject puzzles). The packaging inside the box is extra thoughtful — a handsome canvas bag to hold the pieces printed with a picture of “Bertha” (the tunnel boring machine); a “brass” such as the miners use to check in and out for safety reasons; a postcard explaining the brass-in system; and a poster on heavy paper with explanations about the boring of this huge tunnel. This educational puzzle would be an excellent gift for anyone who loves construction.

SUPERTUNNEL/SUPERPUZZLE
This is a marvelous puzzle! When finished, you get a 500-piece collage of artful, alluring and satisfying photos that tell the story of Seattle’s Supertunnel project. The puzzle is designed for ardent gamers who expect more challenge as well as for newbies looking for an entertaining occasional pastime. What sets this puzzle apart is the four-phased story it tells about the deep-bore drive and construction of a two-lane highway under Seattle’s waterfront completed in 2019. It’s a two-fer: art plus history! The puzzle’s centerpiece—think medallion—is “Bertha,” the largest tunnel boring machine in the world. “She” will prod even the most experienced jigsaw lover to find the right Blanks and Tabs of the very similar pieces representing scores of silvery borer’s teeth. Speaking for myself, I learned lots about Seattle’s colossal five-year plus infrastructure project while working on the puzzle yet couldn’t resist Googling for more details and information as I put pieces together. Catherine Bassetti has created a fun and educational way for all of us to relive the adventure of this colossal infrastructure project without leaving our living rooms!

Fabulous geometries -- this puzzle ia great way to vicariously appreciate the detail, scope, majesty, and astounding engineering of the tunnel built beneath the Seattle skyline. A rare triumph of political will and engineering -- as recorded via the phenomenal eye of Catherine Bassetti -- in her photos, interviews, book -- and now this puzzle.
