I was so excited to finally get this in the mail. I tested right away! This was purchased mainly to use with our projector while camping. I can now hook this up with my LG G5 or my husbands V20 to our projector or tv...I tested both! Sound and picture quality is great and best part charges my phone at the same time! No need to miss out on the big games while we are away!!!

I was looking for a cost effective multi type-C port for my Macbook pro so I turned to this product. However, once I started using this, it DID NOT prove worthwhile as NONE of the ports functioned at all. I was EXTREMELY DISSAPPOINTED and now I'm left with a useless adaptor that I have NO use for.

Works ok, allowing me to connect a small lap top that doesn't have an HDMI port to the TV. However, it's not reliable and often requires me to take the HDMI cord out and place back in multiple times to get it to register and actually work.

Well here it is exactly one year after I purchased this device and the video signal is not being received by the InFocus projector. The sound comes through the projector and my PC recognizes the additional "display". Checked the HDMI cable on another PC with an HDMI port and it worked fine. Disappointed it only last a year. Curious if this is covered under the warranty.

You can't have more than two things plugged into this adapter at the same time otherwise it doesn't work at all. Sometimes it just completely fails randomly. This thing is horrible. Don't waste your money, just spend the extra on the Apple one because this thing doesn't work at all.

It works for adding the ports to the newer laptops, but the connector isn't very durable. Cord started to lose rubber insulation after a few months of use where it wasn't moved much.

While the price is excellent, the adapter didn’t function as expected. The connection on the HDMI port or the USB-C end is weak and doesn’t work without jiggling it and adjusting, and even then it’s too finnicky to maintain a connection to the device. I would not purchase this again, nor any knock off and would recommend just paying the extra money and buying the genuine Apple adapter.
