The Art Of Dragon Magazine

This art is amazing. Brings me back to the good ol days. Very inspiration to look at. Getting ideas for some fantasy films and photoshoots I want to do looking at all of this goodness. It does make me happy books like this exist...there's something about seeing these images on the page that you just don't get online.

third or fourth generation Dungeons & Dragons art who could ask for anything more. Fantasy with lore behind it. Not my favorite generation that would be the mid-80s artists that work for TSR that brought life to different fantasy worlds, armor, swords, creatures of different types but still the art of painting digitally or not has progressed some especially how is transferred photographically and to your computer screens. a must have for my collection.

It delivers exactly what is promised in the title, art from Dragon Magazine. There is art from several artists spanning the years of publications, so the art can be quite varied. Most of it drips with 80's fantasy goodness. My only complaint it that it lacks write up from the artists. I would have liked to hear more from them, but overall, I did not feel cheated in my purchase.

If the phrase "eye of the Beholder" has more than one meaning to you or if you ever rolled dice with more than six sides, then you will like this book.

Art is wonderful. Was seeking more pics of dragons. Artists represented were a-one and have great imaginative skills.Woth every penny, just for the quality of the art.

While many of the picures within are visually stunning, I felt they left out some of the best artwork in favor of some rather crude ones. All in all I'd say I liked about 30% of the artwork in the book, and I wish the other 70% could have been exchanged for better works I've seen in past issues of Dragon. Maybe there will be a volume 2.

This is a great book of alot of the art from Dragon magazine from all the great painters and artists, and its hardback!

Used to buy Dragon magazine years ago. Saw this advertised and ordered it up. Takes me back remembering the various covers and artwork displayed in the book. Crammed full of d&d artwork in full colour a real trip down memory lane. Prompt delivery of a book in excellent condition. Thank you.
