Alpaca made its debut in Golf circles in the 1950's & 1960's and was a cherished companion of Arnie, Robert Bruse, even Frank Sinatra! Embraced by golfing professionals for lightness and ease of motion, alpaca continues to be the quintessential material for the discerning golf player. Professionals have special requirements for their golf sweaters; they want more fabric for a less restrictive fit, with ultimate breathability. In the day they were sometimes referred to as the floppy sweater or just "alpacas". We worked with those that wore and loved this style here in the US and re-created this perfect golf pullover based on their requirements: Raglan sleeves, reinforced elastic for excellent fit, belle sleeves, and a v neckline. Since 2004 we have been crafting this one of a kind pullover and it continues to be as much loved now as it was back in the 50's & 60's. Designed and trade marked under the Alpaca Golf® label right here in the USA, a division of Inca Brands, Inc. It is manufactured in Peru following all free trade guidelines.
