Mae Women's High-Neck Lace Bralette (for A-C cups)

This review is from the perspective of someone looking for modesty coverage and possibly wearing it OVER a bra. My bra size is 34GG (Dx7) so these bralettes aren't intended for my bust size. I got an Xlg.Fit --The band fits loosely, however the bust is not too tight that it squashes. The cups measure 10" high and come to just at my cleavage and about 4" down from my collarbone, so it's not exactly the high neck fit on the model, but is still full coverage. The back lace fits flat on 2 of the 3 colors I got , but on the "ivory" the lace is a tad loose, but not a deal breaker.It's very stretchy, but soft. I can easily stretch the top to 48". I cannot wear this without a bra underneath unless the top or dress already has support because the band is a bit loose , however I doubt a size down will fit both my bust and ribcage.Appearance -- the lace is textured, and the cups are lined, with shaping darts on the side. The stitching is neat and overall the appearance is attractive. So far I'm very pleased with the appearance as they work for both casual and dressy outfits.

I’m wearing this bralette right now! I just got it this week and since it’s my first experience with a bralette, I wanted to go inexpensive. I thought the “high” neck would look cute under tops. I’m sure it will be but I’m wearing it alone. It’s great loungewear. I’m in my 50s size 14 and a small C cup, so I like some support but don’t like an underwire (but really, who does?). This fits the bill. I find that this bra is incredibly cute and comfortable. If I were younger/thinner/bolder I might wear this out as a top to yoga or something. Maybe...but as it stands this is a great layering piece or a top to wear around the house, which is how I’m wearing it. Perfect for summer. Very cool and breathable. I’m floored by how firmly in place it’s holding my girls! I don’t find the lace to be scratchy at all but the seams are a bit. Soft lace. Much softer than the pictures suggest.We’ll see how this holds up after a few washings, but at $8 (I got the coral in Large), I won’t complain even if I only get a short life out of this piece. It’s an excellent introduction to bralettes.

This is beautiful, and I purchased multiple colors. I'm a size 39 B, and the Large fits well. Note, it is not very supportive (it is a Bralette after all), but with a B bust, I can get away with that. The inside lining is very soft. The lining, along with the lace on the outside provides enough coverage to prevent obvious "Hey is it cold out?!" issues that other cup-less bralettes can have.The ONLY reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because the band around the rib cage is not as comfortable as I would prefer. The band itself is quite narrow (a slightly wider band would be better), and though there is some elastic, there is very little stretch to the band itself compared to most bras I have worn. This makes it dig in a bit, so less comfortable after some hours of wear. This would be the perfect bralette if the band were wider with more stretch to it. In fact, if the band stretched more, I might try a Medium for a bit more snug support. But sticking with Large due to that tight band. The rest of the bra is soft and comfortable. The lace is soft, not itchy (that was my original concern).The lace fabric is fairly delicate, so recommend hand washing to keep this lasting longest. Overall, happy with the purchase, and wearing these with all my V necks and button up tops for a subtle but super-cute and feminine layering touch.

I've purchased three of these now and love them. The double layering with the thick lace means no visible nips at any point, which can be a problem with a lot of bralettes.They seem very well made. The fabric is thick enough that I don't worry about them ripping, but they are also stretchy enough to be forgiving size-wise. (For reference, I am a 30G or so and the medium fits well.) I'm also very happy about the color selection - there are some really pretty ones.I wish Mae would make this style in this lace version again! The newer one in the mesh-type fabric isn't quite the same.

Great price, very soft, but not as flattering as it could be. There is no insert for the cup shape like most bralettes. So if it’s cold you can look at my chest to know how cold, and it kind of smashes down what little bit I do have in the chest. I may cut the liner to be able to insert my own cup piece.

I've been avoiding bralettes for a long time because I thought they were only suitable for small breasts, but this bralette is comfortable and flattering even for my C-cups. In terms of support, you probably won't notice much of a difference if you're used to lightly-padded or underwire-free bras.One caveat: if you have any fat along your rib cage, the band will probably dig into it.I only wash this in a mesh laundry bag on cold settings. I live in a country where dryers aren't common, so I hang dry. I've never had any issues with damage or changes to the fabric.

Before I purchased this bralette, I was looking everywhere for a great high neck lace bralette that would go great with a low-cut flowy/oversized black collared shirt I had purchased from Free People. I had a particular look that I was trying to go after in my mind (a more gothic Stevie Knicks, if that doesn’t sound too pretentious!) After a long persnickety search for “the right bralette”, I decided to give this one a try since I had bought other Mae bralettes in the past and were happy with them. At first, I was reticent to buy it because I was not a fan of the lace style. But once I decided to buy it and it came to me, I had a change of heart. The bralette provides great coverage that is sexy but not too revealing. Once I paired the bralette with my new shirt, it made the image in my mind a better reality than I anticipated. I am really happy I got this bralette, and it is a life saver when I am overthinking my cleavage woes.

Fits perfectly, I am a 32 DD and it fits my bust. I also have a very small rib cage and normally find that the bigger bralettes float off of me, but this one does not! Fits smoothly against my skin and stays! I ordered a medium!!
