Not cheap but worth the money
I bought these after first trying a knock off brand from a local store. The quality is very evident with these. The cheap ones would bend easily and the magnets were not very strong. These magnets are very strong. (Strong enough to give you a blood blister if the two magnets snap together and happen to catch your finger). This is good though because it means you don't have to worry about the magnet letting go in the middle of the day. I thought the price was a bit high, but in reality it allows me to wear a ton of shirts that I normally would only wear with a tie....so for $4o I doubled my wardrobe. I have only used the middle size so far. I am not really sure if I will have a need for the others so I sort of wish I had gotten a multipack of that size instead of the assorted sizes. I have not flown with them yet so I can't comment on whether or not they set off the airport security sensors.

If you still "suit up" every day, these are a must have
I'm one of the few that still wears a suit every day to work. So I'm kind of a stickler about my collars. These work great and they make the collar look sharp; whether you wear a tie or not.The Good: Multiple sizes, VERY strong magnets (I've never had one of the magnet stubs fall off or get lost in my shirt during the day, even when I'm adjusting my tie knot), obviously easy to slide into your shirt and they look fantastic. Like I said I will still use these when I wear a tie, but on days that I go tie-less I'd say they look even better. The Meh: The carrying case leaves a little to be desired. Often times, when you take the lid off of the case, all the magnets attract to each other and all of a sudden you have 6 collar stays and 6 magnet studs in a giant blob of metal. That's nit picking but it is annoying sometimes.

simply ingenious
very clever product that works exactly as advertised. i bought the assorted pack, but i use the medium-sized ones 99.9% of the time. still, it's nice to have the other sizes just in case.what i like best is that you have the option for how you want to wear your collar (unlike with buttons which are always in the same spot). once you get the hang of how to place the magnet under the shirt, no one can tell you have something holding the collar in place. it just looks perfect.minor quibble (not even enough to drop a star): the case that they come in is nice to look at, but pretty useless for storage. the little black adhesive pads are not stuck into the box well enough and kept being overcome by the force of the (very strong) magnets. and you have to get the magnets stuck in the exact spot in order to put them back into the box.other than that, if you like having a perfect looking collar that stays that way for the whole day, don't hesitate to get these. if you want to save some money, try looking for just the medium size. average build (i would say sizes S, M, L), you'll only need mediums.

Works surprisingly well.
I had switched to a new style of shirt with longer collars and they would droop with the little plastic stays. A cheap pair of metal stays, that probably didn't fit right, didn't work very well either. I got very self-conscious of the floppy shirt collars. These stays actually work. It's easy to put on the magnet, although straightening it so both sides look the same is a bit weird. The magnets are strong enough they stay on the stay and don't get lost as easily. I bought the 3 pair set mostly to get extra magnets, but haven't lost any yet. The different lengths of stays is convenient.

Powerful
In my philosophy, if you're a professional, it's best to dress on the high end of formality at your workplace.I love to wear ties. Unfortunately, I work in research. Scientists hate ties. The CEO of my company doesn't even wear a tie. So the most formal outfit I can get away with is an open-throated dress shirt and slacks. My problem is that I hate how a dress shirt looks with no tie. Certain shirts look ok, but for the most part it comes across as sloppy.Enter Wurkin Stiffs collar stays. Whoever came up with these is a genius. You slip the metal collar stays into your shirt collar, flip it down, then insert magnetic "buttons" inside the shirt where the ends of the collar touch the neck. Presto, the collar stands up like a button-down collar, but no buttons are visible. The look is amazing, and the magnetic charge is strong enough that they stay securely in place all day.If you want to "pre-load" all your shirts after you launder them, you can buy a lot of these. But I've been using these for years and have found that this one variety pack is enough; I just put a set in when I put on my shirt in the morning and then take them out before tossing the shirt in the laundry at night. Easy peasy. You will want a spare pack of buttons though, as you may lose them now and again. There is one trick to these, which is that you need to make sure the magnetic button is facing the right way for maximum attraction. I just start with the button on its side and see which way it wants to flip against the stay. Works every time.A couple other things to keep in mind: don't put your shirt on a wire hanger while it has the magnets inserted, because they'll tend to attach themselves to the hanger instead of the stays. And if you carry a bag with a shoulder strap, it may pull the stay apart from the button. And once the button falls down your shirt, it's pretty easy to lose. Hence the recommendation to have a spare pack of buttons.

They work... But...
They work. The biggest issue is the magnet falling down your shirt. Trying to put them back into the case can be a challenge.Otherwise, once they are on, they seem to stay on and both work and look good.

Excellent Product
These are fantastic! When I purchased, I wasn't sure if I would need all three sizes, but am I ever glad they came with all three - I have several shirts with different collar sizes and have used each. The magnets are REALLY strong - so strong in fact that managing them all in the case took a bit of getting used to as they kept jumping to each other, but really powerful that will work through most materials. Highly recommend.

Where have these been all my working life?
I just don't know how i have gotten on through my working life with these!I wear a shirt to work every single day, our corporate dress code doesn't require a tie 99% of the time so open collared shirts are the order of the day. Unfortunately the rather nice Italian shirts I own do a great Saturday Night Fever impression even after they have been pressed/ironed.You simply insert the metal collar stays into the usual place in the shirt collar, the apply the tiny magnets to the inside of the shirt. It holds my collars in place all day. You can put the magnets in different places to hold the collar at different angles to find the look you want.I would thoroughly recommend these to anyone looking at metal collar stays as they add something extra to the rest of the ones you'll find on Amazon.
