With this product. I seldom write reviews anymore. But, the product has a fresh, clean lemony scent, although lemon is not listed as part of the formula. The product is a spongey paste. I am subject to "weepers" on a close, three-pass shave. I use about a dime-sized dollop. Once applied, it is absorbed into the skin and appears to heal the "weepers". The negative part is I purchased it about two weeks ago for half of the present price.

I was a bit hesitant to buy this after-shave butter because of a review that didn't like the smell of it. But, knowing how people differ on their likes and dislikes of how something smells (heck, if everyone liked the same thing, there'd be no reason to have more than one cologne or perfume), I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did. I'm relatively new to having a shaved head and just bought the bald buddy shaver. I needed a product that would help my scalp recover and feel good after the close shave. This is a wonderful product. I love the scent, but even if you're not as big a fan of the smell as I am, don't worry, it fades pretty fast. My scalp is soothed and recovers quickly after my shave. So, if you're looking for a good after shave butter, I believe you'll be happy if you choose this one. I know I am.

I don't typically use aftershave, but figured I'd give this a try during my nightly shaving routine since I've noticed some razor bumps on my neck lately. Removing the foil/plastic seal is harder than it should be (the foil and plastic film separated away from each other), and all that effort was rewarded with ... a very powerful smell.It indeed smells like ginger bread and willow bark. But it also smells sweet. Too sweet. Close your eyes, stick your nose in the jar, take a big whiff and... you'd swear you were sniffing a candle. Put all these aromas together and what do you get? Something that smells like my grandma during the holidays.Grandma's a lovely woman, but as a man I don't want to smell like her. And this product smells quite unlike any other personal-care product I've ever used. The paste is thicker than I expected, but smears well into my skin. It leaves a mild tingling sensation, which I don't mind. It's slightly greasy, but dries after a few minutes.As for results, I can't comment yet on the long-term. But the short-term result is that my skin feels smoother and the razor bumps have indeed reduced. So, 3 stars for that! I just can't keep waking up smelling like I'm not a man*...* The Gingerbread Man is indeed a man, but this is definitely one man I do not wish to resemble in smell. Sorry, buddy.

Ever since I decided to shave my head more this product keeps my head moisturized and smelling great. I also highly recommend using the Cut Buddy Bald Buddy Wet & Dry Shaver as well.

Soothing after my shaves not so much shadow biting
