This machine is the best. I have found rings, old toys, coins, thimble. Lots of bottle caps. But its alot of fun and good excercise

I am an old lady who has always wanted a metal detector. When I saw the price, my mind said SOLD! Just after receiving the item I had a back yard party, all adults. Of course, I made this available. I was astounded with the excitment and interest all the men had..They were in the back alley searching for treasures including one prankster who threw some old Roman coin in the dirt. I never expected this to generate such enthusiasm! People were having fun because the metal detector worked just as indicated without any glitches...It seemed to be well made and easy to use. The weight makes packing and using a plus for hiking or outdoors. The extra items for treasure hunting were perfect to have on hand. Now everybody wants to borrow it! Great purchase, and good price!!

This is my first metal detector, and I absolutely love it! It is very easy to use and to set up. I was able to learn very quickly how to use it, and the I love the different options and settings it has, allowing me to focus on specific metal items I am looking for. It is great for kids as well, as my nieces and nephews love it as well. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking to get into metal detecting. It is also easy to carry around, very light, and very simple to use in the field. The accessories that come with it are also very helpful and fun to work with. I can't say enough about this product, and the cost is very reasonable and affordable. Again, highly highly recommended!!! :)

We purchased this metal detector to find a tiny gold-plated Pandora pendant that had broken off somewhere in a 40' radius of thick 6-10" deep grass. PROS: Ease of assembly & function, thorough instructions, 12" coil, overall comfort, included shovel & case CONS: Very cheap headphones, random coil sensitivity, 9-volt battery life The coil is very sensitive to interference & false positives (at all sensitivity settings): we learned to remove all of our jewelry, including wristwatch and pocketed phone, and keep them quite far away from the metal detector. The coil must lierally touch the ground: we found that lifting the sensor even 2" above the grass set off false-positives... presumably from RF interference (even though we were in a remote farm meadow). The Pinpoint ("PP") feature is only useful AFTER the normal search spectrum ("All-Metal") is used: Once there's a positive beep in "AM" mode, switching to "PP" enabled us to close-in on the object. The headphones are junk: Ours lasted all of ten minutes before simply stopping. The onboard speaker, fortunately, was adequate to hear the beeps. Battery life: The unit includes two heavy-duty 9-volt batteries, but their lifespan is rather short. We brought along two extra Alkaline batteries to keep the search going after the original batteries started waning after 45 minutes. After a full hour of scanning the 40' radius and going through trial & error false positives, we DID find the 3/4" X 1/2" pendant deep in the grass with the metal detector. So, overall, it was worth the cost and did the job.

I just moved on to a 1 acre lot that has never been developed, so of course, I was curious, lol. Wherever I'm digging fence posts, I've been using the metal detector, but I haven't found anything yet other than nails and other metallic objects. But that is also a positive because with my dog running around, it's good to know she won't get injured by a nail that eventually may make its way to ground level because of a rainstorm. But I will be taking it with me when I go camping. The detector is lightweight, so no issues there if you have shoulder pain, etc. I do have soreness in my hands, probably CTS, but considering how lightweight the detector is, it's a non-issue. It's also long enough so you don't have to worry about hunching over. It truly can't be easier to use. And the screen is clear, large, and easy to read. I haven't tried it yet with headphones, but that is an option. I did test the detector by putting beer caps on the floor and other objects, and it does detect the type of object. So never having a metal detector before and now I'm 51 years old, dare I say this is cool and I enjoy using it? Let's see what happens on the next camping trip. I still have plenty of posts to dig (3 more sides remain), so I will be using it more, and then I'll work my way towards the inside of the lot. Initially, I tested the area where the garage was being built, so that was my rush to get the detector, and of course, it was shipped and received promptly. Happy searching! And when I find something cool on this lot or camping, I'll update the post.

Surprisingly heavy duty compared to most. This was a second purchase after buying a cheaper one that wasn’t even close to having the quality and functionality of this one. The included carrying / storage bag is a real bonus!

This is my first metal detector, and it’s been a great experience! It’s easy to use, accurate, and the LCD display makes adjustments simple. The waterproof coil works great on the beach, and the different modes help filter unwanted metals. My child loves using it too, thanks to the adjustable shaft and lightweight design. The included bag and shovel are nice extras. Perfect for beginners and family fun—highly recommend!

Was so excited to get this, had been wanting to try one forever but they were always to expensive. This is a great starter at a great price, and very easy to use. So easy to assemble and understand how to use it and even comes with a folding shovel so you always have one with you when you find your treasures. Only have tried in the backyard so far and can’t wait for the warmer weather to take to the beach.
