Great life like soft bait! Here’s my critiques, the hook provided is very very under sized, barely sticks out from the profile of the lure. The under size hook is even more “under sized” in the larger version of this lure. I ended up clipping off the provided hook and using a halibut wire mooching rig (9/0-10/0 hooks) and attaching it to the provided bottom ring .....now we’re talking! The fish this large lure would attract have large mouths so this is the set power we’re looking for! My other critique is the cosmetic eyes come off very easily. I’m using paint on the eyes, the stiff button eyes won’t stick with any glue due to the soft rubbery nature of the body. Other than that, love the look of this soft bait. I’m using it for ling cod and halibut, our season opens in a couple weeks so we will see how the fish like it. I give it three stars due to the amount of alterations I had to apply to the lure.

They were a lot bigger than what I expected. They have real good weight to them and they look almost lifelike in the water. I like the fact that at the "beak" of the octopus, you can attach another hook with a snap leader and add 1/2 of a sardine to entice the fish even more. I don't like the fact that I haven't been able to catch any fish, but I've only used them once and got sea sick. Will update review when I catch something.

Perfect size for targeting large flounder/fluke.The other reviews about the eyes coming off before even using is accurate. However a drop of some loctite liquid super glue seems to be holding them on pretty well. Will update once I have used them.

I got this lure for a fishing charter trip I was going on in April but ended up not wanting to use it out there. Due to the fact that we were getting so many snags on the rocks I didn't want to drop this lire down only to lose it. Also showed up with one of the tentacles cutoff about 3/4 of the way through just didn5 feel like the fish are gonna care anyways so I kept it for another future trip. I bet when I do use it and the water is not so rough or the sea floor' s not so rocky I'll catch some big ling cod and rockfish. Have yet to try this bad boy out though.

This lure is awesome! Haven't had a chance to use it and probably wont get to use it in saltwater like it was intended for. I thought it would be fun to try as a big bass lure so my kids got it for me for Christmas. Its soft and the hook seams stout. I'd definitely use it rock fishing on a beach or out on a pier.

This worked really good for me, I caught a lot of lingcod but the only thing is mine didn't have much of a barb it was more like alittle shaving and my could have been biggest ling shook the hook out and lost it. I will be buying more in a week or so. So I'm hoping these next couple will have better of barbs! Great product!

Certain colors work better than others , I wish they would let you order a 5 pack in one color , without the special handing xtra charge schemes, but a great bait for ling cod.
