Why did you pick this product vs others?:I was searching a slim case for carrying laptop on daily life. The pocket locations and usability is important for me and after a few day usage I can say that it satisfies me. 13 inch macbook air fits wellLooks:It looks good on both me and my girlfriend however she complained that it is a little long for her.

This bad is amazing. I use it as my personal item on the airplane, carrying my laptop, iPad, chargers, and snacks. Whatever I need that I don’t want going through the checked luggage. It is very comfortable to wear and has well-placed pockets and compartments that are easy to access and make sense. I bought a second one for my son to take to college and haul his laptop.

I went through dozens of bag reviews, bought four of them and returned (sorry Amazon), when I just should have started with the GOAT of pack manufacturers, Timbuk2. For everyday carry this is the best. Great padding, all the little details like thumb hooks for the straps, adjustable and removable chest clasps, high grade zippers and premium material; it's all here. I don't like a dozen pockets for items that will change size over time and limit what I can carry. Compartments are roomy at the bottom but keep the bag snug. Straps are padded and perfectly designed. When Ipick it up it feels a little weighty until it gets on my shoulder and then feels like a feather. You could pack this thing out and walk around all day with no problem. YKK zips of course. I ordered a $420 that could not hold a candle to this thing. Love the tight laptop compartment which feels like it has enough padding to stop a truck. Plush top handle which is a must.Only one con is the bottom strap clasps. They feel very fragile as they are light plastic. Would have gone with metal, even magnetic, because I think these things are going to get beat up hard since they are in the bottom of the pack. However, I haven't had it that long so we will see.All told, this is a $500 everyday carry stylish and top grade everyday backpack for $150. I've had my Timbuk2 messenger bag for more years than I can remember, so I guess I'll write a followup review in 2035. 😃

Just what I needed! Great backpack, I’m looking forward to dumping the old Messenger bag and going with this great bag.

The media could not be loaded. I'd probably give this a 4.5, if half-stars existed. I'm 36 and going to graduate school. I have a few massive textbooks that stay at home, but this serves my purposes for going to and from school. I take my 15" Dell XPS 9510 with me, my iPad Pro 12.9", a couple of notebooks and some laptop accessories. I did take a 2.5" wide textbook to the library one day.. but it was a very tight fit and I had to remove the notebooks. At the end of the day though.. if what you need is a comfortable bag to transport some things too and from work or class, this will serve you very well. The reason its actually NICE to have a bit of a smaller (its thinner, back to front) backpack is that it's more maneuverable. I can pick up my bag from the passenger seat of the car and get it in front of me (past the steering wheel) with zero effort. It is thin, so it stays closer to my back, unlike a packed-out Jansport which puts the center of gravity further away from me. The materials feel really nice. But the real reason I bought this was that I got a color I would not have otherwise picked (Olivine) for $75! Was discounted to $99 with a $25 coupon. Crazy deal. In any event, the greenish-brown color stands out and I never mistake anyone else's bag for mine and vice versa. I'm quite literally the only person I've seen at FIU with a Timbuk2 Authority Deluxe :PI almost forgot to mention my favorite part of this bag. The zippers are FREAKING incredible. It has the smoothest, most consistent zipper pull you will ever experience on all of the zippers that matter. You can open and close any of the 3 main pouches with 1 hand, around the corner, it doesn't matter. I was considering a Herschel pack as well.. bought both.. returned the Herschel almost immediately. Every single time I would go to open the pouch.. the zipper would get stuck at the corners of the backpack and I'd have to use 2 hands in multiple positions on the bag to open and close it. These zippers are insane.2 things I'd change:1) the bottle pouch is smaller than I would like. It can barely fit a 1L Smart water bottle for reference or an 18oz water flask. I guess it fits the compact nature of the backpack.2) the pockets inside could be a lighter color to make it easier to find items quickly. It's hard to see a black pocket in a half-opened bag.

Was looking for a tighter bag that held the same stuff. And this is it. Like thus a lot so far. Good quality, good organization, etc. Recommended.
