It tore.Konjac sponge is made from natural konjac root - a porous vegetable that grows in Asia.When not soaked in water the sponge is hard and looks like a feet scrubbing stone or like Pumica bar. When dipped in water konjac sponge comes to life and turns into softest sponge you have ever seen. It has million little holes that allow it to breathe, and it’s super soft. This is my 3rd cognac sponge and while I do like it, it is not the best kind I’ve seen. My other cognac sponge made by MY Konjac Sponge is much softer and when soaked with water it almost feels slimy. It’s not slimy but it’s so insanely soft. This one is not like that. It is shaped like fish which is attractive for kids. This brand claims their Konjac sponge to be infused with 2% chamomile but I don’t feel any scent at all. I sanitize Konjac sponge in UV sterilizer and if used properly it can last a long time. It’s not mentioned on the instructions but it’s important to rinse well and drain as much water as you can because unlike the regular sponge Konjac sponge retains more water and it’s difficult for water to drain itself. You will have skin particles in moist environment -perfect to grow bacteria. I love this for my face, my toddler and a baby. We all have a konjac sponge each.
