Magnets do a very good job with minimizing airflow around the fireplace cover. Word of caution: magnets are very strong and can easily pinch your fingers when handling if they happen to reattach to themselves or the metal fireplace surround unexpectedly. I prefer their strength but need to handle with caution.

This are VERY strong for there small size. Very good stuff.

I am very happy with these strong magnets! I had a hard time finding what would work best at holding up fabric on a metal wall. These work great and I am thinking about ordering more. They are very strong and actually a little hard to get off. The only dissappoinment was that one of my magnets arrived partly chipped and gone at the corner. The magnet is still strong and will hold up. I'm not going to use the adhesive as I don't need that part. But I love how long and strong this magnets are. It's holding up my 5x7 fleece fabric backdrop.

These Impresa extra-long magnets are quite useful in a variety of situations. Installed a small metal shelf on the back of my stove and opted to use this strong ferrite magnet to secure it on the wall, instead of the one supplied by the manufacturer which fastened it to the control panel. Now I don’t have a problem with the stove’s electronics being affected.Needed to place some adjustable plastic heat and air deflector shields on the wall vents in my living room. The magnetic strips provided weren’t strong enough to secure them on the metal openings. Swapped them out for one of these adhesive 10-inch magnets instead, and the deflectors now stay put.So many ways you can use these strong flat magnets around the house. Just be careful when using them around electronics for the magnetism can sometimes interfere with digital displays. Magnets pose absolutely no danger to any flash memory including SSDs, SD cards, and external hard drives. That’s a myth which has been going around for years. People don’t know that strong magnets are located inside all flash memory media for moving the heads necessary to access data.

I actually used two to hang a heavy wood ziploc storage bag organizer on the fridge, I have very little counter space and drawer space so I thought, I'll just put this on the side of the fridge. Honestly, I didn't think the magnets would hold this because it's a heavy item alone but when filled, it's even heavier. Well, it held and it's still holding! Even with all the yanking and pulling of plastic wrap and foil it HASN'T MOVED. I used 2 magnets to hold this but I think it would have held with one. By the time I realized how well it was going to hold I had already adhered two magnets to the back so I just left them both on. Great product!

These didn't really work for what I purchased them for, but I'm sure we will find a use for them later. They are very strong, which is why they weren't really suitable for my intended purchase. If you put them flat on a metal surface, it is very difficult to get them off. I ended up scratching my metal door trying to get one off. So I do think they are high quality and for the right purpose, would be very effective. They are quite substantial and heavy, and difficult to pry apart from each other. They do come with foam between the magnets, which helps.

Easy to use.THE BAD: Even though I listed strong magnets as a strength, it might also be a problem for those with weak upper body strength.I ordered this item to secure a blanket to a metal fireplace door. I don’t use my fireplace because it’s drafty so I keep it covered year-round.The package I received contained four magnets and four 3M adhesive strips. I didn’t use the 3M strips because I chose to place the magnets over my fireplace blanket. Each magnet strip has 2 screw holes that allow an additional mounting option.The first thing I noticed about these things was how sturdy and weighted they felt. The second thing I noticed was how difficult it was to pry them apart due to the strength of the magnets. At first I thought they were glued together but managed to pull them apart with the help of a screwdriver. These work great and I have no doubt this product will last a long time!

Great for many uses, as these are really strong. I used them so far to attach the fireplace curtain. I also used some for hanging tools in the basement. They are strong enough magnets to grab whatever I throw their way! I recommend these for so many things!
