I have super thick hair. The small flimsy clips just do not work. These are large, stronge and really grip. I love them! Great product. Great price!

I have thick hair and until a couple of weeks ago it was also pretty long, so I’ve been looking for extra large claw clips for awhile since the traditional 3.5” ones don’t hardly hold my hair for more than 20 minutes, if at all. These ones are awesome! They’re super long, have nice thick claws, have extra small claws inside the big claws to keep hold of the hair even better, and it opens up super wide to be able to grab all of my thick hair on the first try. I love the colors and matte finish too. I was a little disappointed that the white one has small black scuffs on the clip, but it’s hardly noticeable and the clips are just so great aside from that so I didn’t dock a star for it. If you have long or thick hair, or both, don’t hesitate to buy these!

These are pretty but one broke after two uses, sent back the remaining order. They are as long as some other claw clips I've used, but don't hold as well.

I have fine hair but I have a lot of it. Clips usually don't have tight enough springs to keep it up but these clips are just what I need.Very strong springs and a good tight grip.Will buy again when needed.

Good quality and colors — good value

These are made really well and they are pretty to look at but I have severe arthritis and it kills my hand to open and it snaps shut so fast, it also pulls on my hair. I do have long thick hair and that may be part of the problem. I just wouldn't recommend for those of you with painful joints.

Let me preface this with the fact that I have smooth wavy hair. It’s not curly. It’s not pin straight. My hair texture is NOT course, it’s very smooth. That being said, it holds ALL of my hair without slipping. Most “large” clips can’t take all of my hair and secure it properly. I like to twist my hair, bunch it, then clip it. This clip is actually big enough to secure my hair the way I like to wear it. They’re decent sized and I think they would also work on thick, course, and curly hair types.

False advertising: the clips are only 4.25"/10.8cm! This is deliberate deception since the item is specifically advertised as being 5.25" and there is even a comparison photo showing "Ours 5.25" / Others 4.3." It's too bad, because they are otherwise nice hair clips. If you specifically need a jumbo hair clip (like me), beware these are an inch smaller than advertised. Useless to me.
