'Another Great Action-Packed 'Chick Flick' From The 'Blaxploitation' Era!'
I absolutely loved this action-packed 'chick flick' from the 'Blaxploitation' era! Actress Pam Grier is fantastic as Foxy Brown who seeks revenge on her boyfriend Michael's murder (played by actor Terry Carter) as well as her brother Link, played by actor Antonio Fargas; Foxy posed as a sultry call girl to find out who is behind the murders of her boyfriend and her brother. I liked the fight scene in the lesbian bar and both Foxy and her call girl friend Claudia kicked butt! The character Claudia liked to get high and she 'acted' as though she loved her son Jason but her husband tried to stop his wife from being a call girl. I felt bad for Foxy when she was kidnapped, drugged and raped by the 'dirty old and perverted goons' and I loved how Foxy escaped the ranch as well as flying a plane! Awesome! The character, Miss Katherine Wall was very 'strange'! She talked funny as though she were 'manic'! Actress Kathryn Loder bore an uncanny resemblance to actresses Stockard Channing and Judith Chapman; actor Peter Brown was just plain creepy as Steve, who is practically 'kissing Katherine's butt' by being on her side when her henchmen were being complete idiots and Steve is gay after Foxy's friends cut off Steve's genitals and Foxy brings the jar with his genitals to Miss Katherine's place. She freaks out and she's begging Foxy to kill her but Foxy lets her live; good movie as well as the acting and it's too bad the 'Blaxploitation' era of the 1970's is over but thank goodness for the classics on DVD! It's worth watching again and again!

She's A Whole Lotta Woman!!!
The undisputed queen of soul cinema Pam Grier is most recognized for her role as the veloptuous vigilante heroine, Foxy Brown - a superbad sista who takes vengeance upon the crime ring responsible for the murder of her narcotics agent boyfriend. She utilizes her street smarts, her sexuality, weapons and the help of a neighborhood "anti-slavery" committee to acomplish her mission. An indictment of a high level crime syndicate falls through, resulting in the change of narcotics agent Dalton Ford's (Foxy's love interest) identity to Michael Anderson to protect him from possible retaliation of the syndicate. Foxy's brother Link (Antonio Fargas), who runs numbers and sells drugs for the syndicate, discovers Michael's real identity and reveals it to his employers to get out of a $20,000 debt. To ensure that Michael/Dalton Ford "never opens his mouth again in court", the syndicate murders him in cold blood and he dies in Foxy's arms. This is where the action begins.Foxy seeks revenge on Link first for pointing the finger on her man and forces him to give up information on his employer. Posing as call girl Misty Cotton, she infiltrates the syndicate's front as a modeling agency to gain access inside the corrupt operation. Once inside, she sets it off as she shoots, stabs, runs over and sets fire to anyone who gets in her way.The action here is blistering and intense with a most shocking climax. But if you haven't yet seen this movie I won't ruin it for you. This movie is a must see if you are a fan of Pam Grier or of 70's soul cinema in general. 5 stars.

Blaxploitation at its finest
Happy I found this dvd to add to my collection. The story line is, but it's a movie of my generation. Pam Grier kicked butt and had great style while doing it.I recommend it.

Queen blaxploitation
Scenario rocambolesque comme tout bon blaxploitation qui se respecte. Mais que dire de ce film mortel du début jusque la fin. Les héros comme les méchants personne n'est épargné et quel kiffe. À voir et à avoir

An awesome action, chick-flick with sweet soul/funk music
After watching this film, I love it, it is an awesome action, chick-flick with sweet soul/funk music. Now I know what you are thinking: When I said "chick-flick," well I meant that Chick-flicks aren't just about romance, comedies or films about girlfriends; they are about women, and the love and tragedies they go through; and also about the bad-a** women like our Foxy Brown.Well anyway, this film starts with a street hustler named Link Brown, cringing in a bar full of police officers, he's trying to wait out a bunch of thugs who want to beat him for holding out on a loan from losses incurred from street gambling schemes. In desperation he calls his tough sister Foxy to bail him out yet again. Foxy runs some of the thugs into the river in her car. Afterwards, Link pleads to her that he'll live the straight life if he can hide out at her pad for a while. Foxy reluctantly agrees.Later, Foxy goes to visit her boyfriend in hospital. He name is Dalton Ford, an undercover officer who has been investigating the same crime-ring that Link owed money to. The hoodlums thought they'd killed him, but he really ended up in hospital for plastic surgery to give him a new and safe identity. Emerging as handsome Michael Anderson, he and Foxy hope to start life anew. On the streets, they encounter a black gang who beat and run drug pushers out of town. Foxy introduces Michael to the freeloading Link, and Link acts suspicious. Links leaves Michael and Foxy to themselves, but later looks at some newspaper cuttings and adds two and two together. There is an enormous debt to pay ... and this kind of information could clear that debt. No sooner does Foxy think her life will be smooth, than Michael crashes through her door, breathing his last and shot to death. With some detective work, the grieving and raging Foxy soon tracks Link down at his white girlfriend's, and as they snort coke she storms in on them. Livid with anger, Foxy won't kill her own brother, but she does force the identity of Michael's killers out of him, then force him to leave the city; and so Foxy is out for vengeance. So that is all I am tellin' you folks, you will have to see the film for yourself, and see how it ends. I also recommend it for fans of soul/funk music (the music and songs by Willie Hutch), seventies cinema or blaxploitation cinema. Of course I would say "Soul Cinema" because the term "blaxploitation" sounds kind of offensive to me, I mean come on! Barrack Obama is the new President of the US, and he is a black man...what would he and others like him think?
